{II:2} Silence

39 10 3

She followed her heart
And not her head
She ignored the warning signs
When they screamed at her

Her heart was full of desires
Which she would never fulfil
Her eyes were made blind
By the thoughts of her mind

The old one came and the young
'This road is laid with snares' they cried
But she turned a deafening ear
And to none of their pleas adhered

A bright red sign, her last detour
The loudest bell in the midst of them all.
The way ahead is full of dangers
Like a moth to fire, she still fared

When at last her eyes had seen
Alas! The end was destruction
And there she lay confused
No retreat or return presented.

She screamed but no one could hear her
She cried but no one heard her plea
And just like she had turned her ear silent
To the many warning screams

She was trapped
In the endless void of screaming Silence.
