"STOP, MICHEAL!" Mary and Sherlock ran into the scene, holding hands, their free arms flailing wildly.
"Oh, so they get to charge in, but we can't?" I complained.
"Now isn't the time, Anji." Elijah scolded.
"Stop whatever you're doing." Sherlock boomed.
Micheal smirked. "Wonderful. I can kill all of you at once!"
Suddenly, Harry and Lucas crashed through the ceiling.
"WHERE IS MY OWLET?!" Harry screamed.
"Elijah, literally everyone is doing it." I whispered. He ignored me.
"Don't worry, she's safe." Micheal smirked. "Now all I need is that pesky time traveler and his sidekick-"
Elijah and I bolted upwards. "I AM NOT JUST A SIDEKICK." I yelled. At the same time, he yelled "SHE IS NOT JUST A SIDE KICK."
We looked at each other. "Oops." I said.
"Wow! This is perfect! Come down here so I'll squash you all at the same time."
"You'll never squash us." I snarled.
"Oh, really?"
Suddenly, an invisible force made us walk down the stairs and right in front of Micheal. Elijah and I tried to resist, but to no avail.
"What- what's hap-"
Suddenly, Chloe walked out from behind a large metal cylinder.
"It was me." She smiled.
"Owlet!" Harry started to run over to her, but she held up a finger. A little disappointed, he walked back.
"Chloe!" Mary smiled. "Help us, your runes can stop this-"
Chloe shook her head. "My Nine Realms will be in jeopardy if these children are born."
"Of course, but we have to help our friends and think if another solution other then killing her." I chuckled nervously.
Chloe shook her head. "Sophia is a danger. Micheal is right."
"What?" Lucas asked. His voice was quiet.
"I'm sorry it had to come to this, guys. If you join me now, I'll spare you."
"Excuse me?" I asked, taking a step forward.
"Don't fight me, Anjali. Things will be easier this way. I'll erase all of your memories, and you won't have to deal with the pain of losing Sofa."
"That isn't natural. Pain can't be avoided with magic, it will always come back somehow." Elijah stood tall and brave, but somewhere in his eyes I saw a hint of bittersweet pain.
"You're making the wrong choice." Chloe said. She too looked brave on the surface, but had fear and regret in her eyes.
"We aren't." Mary announced. She looked at Chloe in shock. Had her best friend really betrayed them this time?
I took a step forward. "Chloe, this isn't you."
Chloe raised her hands, and I flinched. She could burn me to smithereens at any moment, so why wasn't she?
She didn't want to, that's why.
"You weakling! I'll take care of this." Micheal pushed Chloe out of the way, and raised his hands. He ran towards us, kicking me, making me fall. I grabbed my stomach and fell over.
"That was incredibly unnecessary!" I winced.
"Anji!" Elijah ran over to me, but Micheal waved his hand, and Elijah fell to the floor.
"OH HELL NO." I bolted upwards, ignoring the pain in my gut and ran over to the villain, who was now facing Mary. He had raised his hands, and black smoke had erupted from them. Mary had done the same, but her smoke was purple. The two colors met in the middle, creating a rumbling noise, and shaking the room. Lucas ran in the middle, trying to break things up, but he could not get too close without getting an electric shock.
"Lucas, go to Elijah." I said. "Make sure he's not... make sure he's okay."
Lucas nodded and ran off. I took in my surroundings. Harry had run over to Chloe, and had his arms around her. Chloe looked shaken up, and I realized he was keeping her from fighting. Micheal and Mary seemed deep in concentration, and Sherlock had run over to Gabe and the still unconscious Sophia.
I noticed something glinting in Micheal's back pocket, and I grabbed it. His Angel Blade! This could kill him, and end this madness!
Suddenly, Micheal locked at me, the fire in his eyes blazing. Turning, he used the power he had, combined with Mary's, and caused a large explosion. I flew across the room, and the blade flew out of my pathetic grip.
