"So we all have dates." Laila said as I sat down.
I gave her a questioning look. "What?" I asked.
"To prom," She answered. "In a way, we all have dates."
"Okay," I said.
"I'm going with Chase." She continued. "Tessa, is with Carter. Then there is Kira and Brian. Then we all know you're going with Luke."
"So you're basically going as a group?" I questioned. They all nodded. "Wow." I really did not know what to think about this. Oh, well.
Tessa changed the subject. "So how was your date?"
"How do you think it went?" I replied. She raised her eyebrows. "He took me to a fancy restaurant in the outlet."
She smiled, "Oo la, la. And it ended with a kiss." Tessa finished.
I smiled at her, "Did I tell you this already? I swear, I didn't."
"No, I can guess." She said playing with her green peas.

I started to push on the band door, I was late for practice, so was Carter. We got stuck on clean up duty in Chemistry class, since we were the cause of the labs messiness. Chemicals, fire, and Carter do not go together.
Carter stopped me from opening it completely. "Syd!" He called. Then he pointed up. I looked and above me was a bucket. Such a classic prank. Carter found how it was hanging and let it down easily. Inside was a questionable liquid.
"Oh, my God. Thanks Carts." I thanked. He shrugged bashful. Then we both cracked up. He opened the door, hauling the bucket.
Everyone was ready to go, when we got in. "Nice to see you guys." Brian said through gritted teeth. He was fixing his camera. I looked around. Tessa was smiling freakishly big. She nodded towards the couch. Yeah, there is a couch in our band room, on school campus. I shifted my gaze to the couch. There was a person on it.
"Luke?" I questioned. He got up and came to my side. "How long have you've been here? Why are you here?"
He shrugged, "I can't come watch my girlfriend perform? And Tessa, Brian, and me came here about twenty minutes ago."
I turned to Carter and Chase, those two loved pranks, especially when we were little. "Carts, Chase, is that enough time to set that trap up?"
Both nodded. "More than enough," Carter added.
Tessa gave me a look, "You don't seriously think...?" she said, probably remembering the same thing I was.
I nodded. "It seems quite possible that it could be..."
"Na-uh." She replied in astonishment.
Brian looked up from his camrera, "Can you just tell us?" He was annoyed by the incomplete sentences between Tessa and me.
I sat on the couch. "We heard Naomi talking to one of her 'friends'," I started.
"She said she was going to do something to Sydney, to make her look bad." Tessa finished.
Luke came next to me. I turned to him, "Probably in front of you."
He took my hand. "Nothing could make you look bad." he encouraged. I smiled. The rest of my friends made ramblings about the ways I could look bad.
"Okay," I stood up, "Let's get this done."
