Kingdom of Amethyst

Chapter 1

  :Queen Violet's pov:

"Ugh, where is that worthless excuse for a niece.... HAVEN!!" I was currently in my throne room, in desperate need of some grape juice. "Yes Aunt Violet?" the soft voice of Haven called out. I looked down to see Haven looking up at me with emotionless eyes. "Get me some grape juice, all of my other servants are busy painting my room my new favorite color, purple!" I squealed happily. Haven turned, "I'm gonna get you your grape juice...." I smiled, "thank you!" I sighed, sitting back in my seat and admiring my throne room made of amethyst. "All for me... none for anyone else" I giggled. Soon, Haven came in with my grape juice and a worried look on her face. "Aunt Violet, the palace guards have just come with two people. One requests an audience with you. The other the palace guards found trying to steal.... something.." Haven said in a hurry. I nodded, grabbing my grape juice from her and walking out of the throne room and to the court yard of my castle. "Your highness" the guards said, bowing. I smiled, and turned to the two people before me. A man, most likely a king. And a girl, with no purple on whatsoever so most likely not any type of royalty. "Your highness" the man said, bowing politely. I smiled, returning the bow "what brings you to my kingdom?" The king looked at the guard and girl, "can we talk privately?" I nodded, gesturing for him to follow. "Oh, guards, talk to Haven about what to do with the girl" I called back. "That's the thing your highness.... Haven is missing.." one guard said. I whipped around, "again?! I just saw her and she's missing. When I find that girl I need to have a serious talk with her.... anyway, decide yourselves." The guards nodded, pulling the girl towards the dungeon. I turned back, flashing the king an apologetic smile.

I went over what the king, who I now knew as King Anthony, said. "That is a big favor to ask...." I said quietly, looking up at the king. "I know, but we are in desperate need of an army..." King Anthony said. I closed my eyes a moment, thinking it over. "I will grant you command over my army.... over one condition" I said with a small smirk. "Anything my Queen" King Anthony said. "You rid me of my useless niece... I plan to be queen for a while and I don't need anyone plotting to overthrow me someday.." I said, looking at the king for any sort of reaction. The king smirked, "if that is all... then certainly." I took off a purple ring from my finger, and handed it to him, "to show that you truly have control over my army." The king bowed, "thank you my queen." He slipped on the ring, and turned to leave. "You are also welcome at my palace at any time" I said with a small smile. King Anthony smiled back, and walked out. Little did I know, my niece had actually been listening the whole time.
