I guess when I told Jake that I'd be going for the scholarship, he thought that I was going for the scholarship in Miriam. Little did he know that...

I was going for my frustration... to see Tobey and pretend to be a guy in Harrison School For Boys. I can say that... I am love sick.

"What? You're going to Taiwan?" my friends excalimed all together after I told them about me going to Miriam School For Girls. Shane, knowing the plot, didn't react that much. She just stood, leaning on a post as I told them about it. "She's going to follow Tobey," she said, chewing a mouthful of gum. Indeed, she knew about my plot on following Tobey secretly, but she didn't know that there was another sneaky option.

Friday went by so fast. Before I knew it, I was sitting with Hallie, getting our toenails done, while drinking chocolate milkshakes at home.

"Lia, do you really have to go?" asked Hallie, "You should just say here with us. To think of it, I don't know what I'd do once you're not around anymore. Do you expect me to hang out with those boy-oriented girls for a whole freaking year?" She continued blabbing about her complaints about me going to another school. I didn't say anything at all. I just sat in front of her, filing my toenails. "Well, if it's what makes you happy... Go for it." I suddenly stopped filing my toenails when I heard that. She looked at me. I could see the sadness in her eyes. We've been bestfriends since we were little kids and I really dreaded the thought of being separated from her. "Just be careful. Don't run into rapists," she joked. I chuckled, yet I could feel both the happiness and sadness inside me. She hugged me and said, "Go get him."
