I jumped out of the way just in time to see a girl a a little shorter than I was skidding past me trying to stop. She skidded to a stop inches from hitting a tree.

"Whew. That was way to close." She sighed in relief turning to see my stunned look. This girl had just come dashing at me from nowhere and now she's acting like it never happened. As if suddenly realizing what happened laughed nerviously.

"Sorry about that... actually I was looking for you." She said playing with her hair clearly embarrassed about her lack of control.

"Who are you and why were you looking for me." I asked completely confused why someone who I didn't even know would be looking for me. It's not like I was popular and I hadn't even seen her before.

"Oh! My bad I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Sayaka. It means bright in Japanese. I was looking for you because I had a question." She flushed her cheeks turning the color of cherry blossoms.

"...ok..?" I replied becoming a little suspicious about this girl.

"Can we sit first? I'm kind of tired from that run." She chuckled sheepishly.

"Sure." We walked over to a near by tree and sat down at its trunk. Feeling the rough bark of the tree against my skin was strangely soothing.

"So... I wanted to ask you something..." She paused hesitating, "h-how did you get so close to Blake so fast?"she figured at the hem of her shirt, her face hot pink. I blushed a little too realizing that I just kind of took him.

"Me and my friends just invited him over to our lunch spot." I said shrugging, "why?" Her face turned an even brighter shade of pink that was now almost red.

"No reason!" She said quickly, "but... do you mind if I sit with you guys? I don't really have any friends." She said looking down at her hands. She looked so small and helpless that I had to say yes.

We walked around the school grounds for a bit before we headed over to class.

"Where were you?" Ava asked curiousity filling her brown eyes.

"I was going to take a short walk to clear my head but I ran into this girl.... or I guess she almost ran into me.." I flinched remembering our close call I continued, "she didn't have anyone to sit with so I invited her to sit with us."

I had left out the part about her looking for me. I still wasn't completely sure why but I wanted to figure it out before telling anyone. So it just stayed between Sayaka and myself. In a way I thought of her as my little sister. She always seemed to look up to me and was shy around everyone unless I was around, over all she was just so sweet. After a while she finally came over to my house for the first time. Honestly though even though we were in different grades she was the oldest in her class so she was almost my age.

"Cathrine! Get the door please!" My mother shouted to me.

"Coming!" I raced down the stairs hoping it was Sayaka. I perked out the window next to the door to make sure and sure enough Sayaka was standing the patiently waiting. I opened to the door giving her a bear hug. She giggled was it surprised relaxing into the hug after realizing that it was just me.

"Come in." I said cheerfully. She took off her shoes and we walked up to my room as we talked about what to do.

"Well if anything we should take some time just to chat first." She said.

"Why? Was there sometime in particular you wanted to talk about?" Just as the words left my mouth her face was covered by the pink flush that I always thought was adorable.

"Yeah actually." She responded looking down at her hands.

"Ok Sayaka. But let's wait until we're in my room to talk." I winked playfully and lead her inside my room.

"So there was something that I didn't tell you that I actually thought you would've guessed by now but better late than never right?" She chuckled sheepishly. In intrigued I had her sit on my bed with me so that I could listen to my best ability, and she could explain comfortably.

"You see the reason why I was looking for you before was because I had a question right?" She asked hesitantly. I vigorously nodded my head curiousity clawing at my lungs making it so my breaths were short.
"At first I wanted to meet you or get close to someone else and I really like him, he's kind and sweet, but at the same time mysterious and quiet. Honestly the only reason I know him is because we both take art as and an elective." She explained.

"So are you just going to leave me hanging or are you going to tell me?" I asked teasingly.

"I-i like Blake." She said in her small nervious voice.
