Chapter 1: Seven’s intro
The end of the year slipped through the mind of everyone in Hellius Mouthanian Valley. Seven had no idea of what he had done. He wasted his life moping of what the world became and how it judged him. He had been praised by everyone around him but they slowly lost interest in him. His mother remained the same; she gave a look of shame and discomfort towards his presence. He loved the thought of proving the world wrong with the grades and a diploma, but it wouldn't change. There would be no parade for seven wonders.
"Mr. Wonders, stop drifting off. Pay attention to your work. If you put as much effort as you do in day dreaming and creating those silly stories of yours you'd be passing this class."
Seven went back to work attempting not to drift off into his little dream. The questions seemed endless and were as helpful as a magician working as a bank clerk. 'Why is sally pressured about her child and going to college?', 'Does John have the right to feel discriminated if he is searched with no purpose?', 'Can judgment be a cause of someone dropping out?'. After a few cheesy responses he turned the paper over and doodled his way back into his dream. He liked to draw because to him it felt like he could put is mind at ease from the chaotic world he lived in. His thoughts brought forth a terrible screech of his name being voiced by the teacher he so desperately waited to not see.
"Mr. Wonders! This is why you are failing my class; you’re wasting your time doodling these abstract pictures and ignore the true purpose of this class. To help those in need who really need it. You do realize it was you who got this class and not me, right?"
Seven nodded and turned the paper back over.
"You also have to speak every now and then. You can't go about your life just nodding ‘yes or no’. Okay?"
The bell rang and the class scattered, somewhere in between was Seven avoiding another lecture. The teacher stopped her talking and turned towards the computer like a mind controlled zombie. She hid behind the computer screen light with her face practically pressed against the glass. For the rest of his classes Seven tried rearranging time and changing memories in order to see what he could have done and how life could have been in his favor rather than everyone else’s. His walk home was the bore of a lifetime contemplating rather complex things but not considering them in the near future. He walked towards his house a very earthy home with a canary yellow paint. His house was the only one in the neighborhood with a fence it was intertwined with vines. The community thought it was strange considering that no one besides the boy tended to it. He’d give it water and sunlight but it still wouldn’t explain why there’d be so much quantity of the plants that grew. He sat at his table where he attempted to revive a rose he so desperately tried all his life to revive. It was a strange rose that was either unable to bloom or dead. He heard the neighbors fighting and picked up his things to get away from such ruckus. He forgot about the rose and went back to get it. He placed his hand on the vase holding it and stopped intrigued by the conversation.
“C’mon, it will only kill you a little bit?” He heard a hesitant man say.
“What the hell does that mean?” said a frightened woman, who seemed to have more anger than fear
“It’s not complicated take one and you’ll die end of story. Isn’t that what you wanted?”
The woman yelled no and a bottle of pills flew across there yard towards Seven’s bursting open and spilling. Seven took three and ran inside his home locking the door. He closed his hands and dropped the pills into his pocket briskly walking towards his room. He looked through the window and noticed his neighbors searching through his garden furiously. They got plants by the stem and pulled the plants until the roots were holding onto nothing. Seven run out the house.
