Poverty, a growing struggle, a contagious situation slowly overtaking our country. The common problem, the common complaint among us Filipinos.
With poverty, comes different effects which breaks down our society, tearing it limb from limb, making our lives descend into anarchy and chaos. Death, the passing of someone, one inevitable part of the nature of life, is one of the horrifying truth that accompanies poverty.
Death is when the cave that is your mouth shall remain close, that your lover would not be able to taste it's roof, but he or she will kiss other mouths anyway, because death does not stop life for anybody.
You shiver along with the stars anyway, thriving on prayers as your only dinner for the day, begging other people to include you in their lives, in their rosary sessions, yet all you only have is death to keep you forever, while the society you live in, while the other people surrounding you could not, they could not.
They just couldn't be there. Even though we're back slouched, with the eyelids dropping, we should drag ourselves out of this situation.
Nobody will act and do it, except ourselves. So stand up, pick yourself up, and break free from this chain of situation which binds us and imprisons us. Be desperate to redeem what little of salvation we believe the day holds.
So when we saw, when the society saw that there was pain and sadness buried deep at the tip of our fingernails, we should resolve to have it removed and stopped as soon as possible.
