The first day of high school was going to be magic. So I thought. What lied ahead really excited me as I went on a path to figure out who I was. I thought it would be easy to see how I fit in and figure out my groove. While in 3rd-period history, the principal came in and announced to the class there was a new girl. She had bright platinum hair, a round face, perfectly straight teeth, and a warm comforting smile that sent good vibes my way. No one seemed interested as the councilor asked the class who would be her "welcome buddy", so of course, I decided to take the opportunity. I raised my hand and said, "I would love to show Katy around." The counselor had a "thank God" look on her face and Katy sat next to me.
