If you're looking for a happy ending, I suggest you shut the cover and put this book back on the shelf you found it. This will not be that kind of story. Nor will it be a sappy romance, adventure, sci-fi, or fantasy kind of story. No it's not a thriller or horror story. This isn't a story. This is real. The pages following this introduction i've left for you will hold secrets, pain, and regret. The real, true, and honest thoughts of a hurting soul. There is no pretty painted picture to cover up the darkness. If you've read my warnings and still want to proceed to flip through the pages of this book I must ask you a favor. I promise it won't be hard. Just follow 5 simple rules.
You share the confines of this book with no one.
You sit in your room, the room you feel most secure in, the room that is empty unless occupied by your presence. You remain alone while reading these pages.
You take a vow to never harm yourself, for the following pages may hold dark thoughts and harsh situations you may relate to.
Grab a pen (never a pencil) and a notebook, you'll need it for my next instructions.
Once you've finished reading everything you will sign the inside of the front cover with you first name and last initial, and leave this book where you found it.Do you have your pen ready? What about your notebook? Did you ask yourself why I said "never a pencil"? You should've. Life isn't erasable. Mistakes are going to happen. A pen is the perfect example of that. The ink, while first flowing onto the page, will come out so clear and flawlessly. As you continue to write some words may smear, and blend together. That's life. Accidents happen. Get your pen ready. Write your name top right corner of the first page. I know weird. Right instead of left. You should learn to see things differently. That is the reason after all I'm allowing you to read this. Your name completed? I hope so. We both know I don't know if you're actually writing it down, but I like to think you are. So as you read on you'll begin to notice weird things, things that make sense at one time then don't at another. Sometimes you will come across words that are in italics, sometimes you'll even find full sentences like that. Every time you do, I want you to grab your pen and copy it down word for word in your notebook. Don't ask me why, I'll explain that later on. Now every time you see italics copy them down. Starting now.
Good luck new reader.
Sincerely,
A beautifully scarred person
