Back to school
Completing high school again.
Tamir is old enough now to stay with her dad or the sitter.
I can give her the life she deserves.
Right now, we live in a scrawny old apartment
The walls peeling
The rats
The roaches
Broken glass bottles on the floor
We can't move. But soon as I get enough money to be able to repaint I will
Then an exterminator
Then continue with my constant cleaning
I will be able to get a decent job instead of working at Wendy's part time
So I won't have to owe my boyfriend
So he can stop making me pay him back to feed his drug addiction
It's going to be hard
But life is
And I just want what's best for my baby.
I love you Tamir!

School isn't as bad as I thought it would be
It's still humiliating
Do you know how hard it is
To face them every day
And know that they know what happened and are talking about it
All the time?
I don't think you do...
Add to the fact that your teachers have no respect for you
You are friendless
A humiliating example to the masses
I don't think you do...
To have every little boy
Try to holla at you
And the girls
Pretend to be your friend
To have them try to take away
What little bit of confidence you have?
I don't think you do...
They asked me to speak at health
To talk about the whole After Prom idea
And abstinence
And I can't even say no.
But I am back on track
The fast track
Advanced classes
I'm also a tutor
My principal said If I get a certain amount of credits
I can graduate early
Just that
No catch
I don't think I should believe him
I don't think I do...

Today is my first day at my advanced class
I'm about to meet the guy everyone calls
Mr. F
F stands for a lot of things!
