Zebra Sapphire a female detective.
As a young girl growing up in the rough parts of Chicago. One day she hoped to become a True Story Detective. Her mom used to buy true story magazines and Zebra Sapphire read them after her mom was finished with them. She could not believe all the suspense those magazines had. After doing all her chores
Zebra Sapphire would drop down in a corner and began reading the whole magazine from start to finish. The pages always had pictures of shadows standing under street lights or street lamps. The titles were amazing. Some titles kept Zebra Sapphire from wanting to read them. Titles like [ Moonlight Over The
Pool] about how a beautiful woman took midnight swims and thought she heard noises. She ignored the noises until she saw a shadow. It was too late. The strange shadow that had watched her swim for months put his hand over her mouth, to keep her from screaming. The magazine usually had six small stories
inside. Zebra Sapphire was so anxious to read them all. She hated when her mom called her to come slave for her. Zebra Sapphire rather be kept in suspense. She always had the story half way solved by the third page.
Her mother who suffered from schizophrenia and her mom never went to see a shrink. So Zebra Sapphire went through a lot of child abuse from her bruiser her mom. Later Zebra Sapphire would compare her to the suspense drama [ Mommy Dearest]. The two were uncanny how they raised their children. Both neat freaks but lazy as hell.
Her mom had a good job working at the United States Post Office, but she rarely bought any food for her five children Zebra Sapphire, Zeke, Bae-Bae, Toy and Birdie
They called their moma the nutcracker (LMMFBAOOO)
She only dated Chicago Policemen. No wonder she loved Detective magazines. I guess she felt the police would protect her. Where was the police when her mom got robbed of her fur coat and boots on a cold wintry night, trying to run and catch an L-Train to work?
Louisa had return home almost seriously suffering from frost bite and no fur coat. She was crying and saying how the robbers had put a gun to her head and ask for her beautiful fur and her shoes and her money. Our food money. Zebra Sapphire and her siblings were going hungry, yet another week till payday.
From that day forward, Zebra Sapphire wanted to be a Detective and a Psychic!
A born writer for sure. Louisa pass that gene down to her. Her mom was always reading and writing. Always. Louisa read everything even dull newspaper like Wall Street and Restate licenses. She wanted to help sell homes for a living. She also had an honorable discharge from the Air Force. So why was she so deranged?
Zebra Sapphire's daddy had left her heart-broken and ran off and married his other girlfriend, while both women were pregnant by him Louisa never like Zebra Sapphire because of that. Later Zebra Sapphire had to do some detective work to find her daddy.
After Zebra Sapphire went to see what her mom wanted she went back to reading what happened to the woman swimming in her outdoor pool. Sometimes Zebra Sapphire would put the last page down, knowing the victim had met his or her attacker. Zebra Sapphire wanted the suspense to be over with, but she had to finish the story or she had to face her own real life story. Her torture from her own mom.
Her big moma, Ma'Dear always came to her rescue. Zebra Sapphire called her up long distance and cried on the phone. Telling her Ma'Dear that she was hungry and her brothers and sisters too. That her mom got robbed by a total stranger at gun point and he got away with their grocery money too. So Ma'Dear sent money up to Chi-town for her daughter and grand children. Of course Zebra Sapphire was always thinking of ways to run away. Back to her Ma'Dear! Whom she simply adored.
