my body begins to shiver.
the thought of returning to the dark burns me with agony.
i once told lies bigger than love.
my truth will intertwine with you.
and when it does, i know that you will leave,
and forget about me.
just know that i'm not a monster.
my mind wonders to that night and,
forever want to take back the wish that sadly came true.
the wish that saved me from pain and torture.
the I love you's were erased from my lips but never from my eyes.
i am the moon, while you are the sun.
you've tried desperately to burn my sins but sadly you can't so,
Take my hand.
pull me to bed and sing a lullaby,
wipe away my tears
which were formed by lies.
i don't deserve your compassion.
yet here i am asking for your attention.
in the end, i'm just telling you my lonely lies.
covering up my lonely truth.
