(Grandma Pearl In the kitchen preparing Saturday morning breakfast for her granddaughters)

Grandma Pearl:  (Calls from downstairs kitchen while preparing plates) Beatrice, Brandy and Betty, ladies breakfast is ready. I have prepared grandma's speciality--grits, turkey sausage, scrambled eggs and fresh squeezed Orange Juice.

(Brandy yells from top of stairs before actually coming down)

Brandy: Grandma its 8am you know we normally sleep in until 10am...Breakfast does smell good I must say.

(Grandma pearl sits down at the kitchen table and shortly after enters her 3 granddaughters)

Grandma Pearl: It's about time you ladies got up instead of sleeping the morning away. Imagine how much you can get done around the house before 12 noon?

Beatrice: Hmm it does smell good grandma, (scanning her plate a few feet away from the table) But I'll pass I'm trying to stay slim. Don't want a few extra pounds to cause me to miss the man of my dreams. I know he will sweep me off my feet.

Betty: Beatrice, the only thing that needs to be swept is the trash on the floor in your room.

Beatrice: Now Betty don't start with all the empty shoes boxes piled up on your dresser.

Grandma Pearl: Ladies, its too early for drama, but not too late for all of us to have breakfast together. I remember when you all were just little princesses. Seems like just yesterday.

Brandy: Those were fun times. But we actually have to get going for our hair appointments.

Grandma Pearl: You three are always in a hurry.  If you're not careful you might rush into something you don't want. Never enough time for Grandma anymore.

Beatrice: It's not that we're in a hurry, It's just that Saturday is the only day we can get red carpet treatment from head to toe. You know hair, lips, fingertips and a much needed pedicure.

Betty: As much as we love living here Grandma Pearl, we gotta eventually leave the nest. I have been single for a while and ready to attract the best.

Grandma Pearl: Be careful ladies, I was once your age and didn't like being single until I encountered...

Beatrice: We know... Jesus and every since then you been married Faithfully to your Lord and Savior.

Grandma Pearl: Well don't you ladies forget it...Which reminds me, it's about time you come to church with me. Jesus is always availiable. How about you all come with me tomorrow? Then we can have brunch afterwards.

Beatrice: Perhaps next Sunday. Jesus can wait.

Betty:  Yeah, today could be the day I find Mr. Right and then I'll give Jesus a call.

Brandy: Grandma we will go with you next Sunday we promise. Will even wear those church hats you brought us last Easter.

Grandma Pearl: I wont beg you to come. You're free to make your own decision.  You use to be so excited about church when you were little girls. Remember tomorrow is not promised. At least have breakfast before you leave the house.

Beatrice: Today we're grown women in search of husbands. I'll wrap my plate up and eat it later.

(Grandma leaves the kitchen and heads into the den shaking her head in disbelief, and prays to herself "Lord show my granddaughters the first man they need in their life")
