Diana moved in with Mike, and we kept an eye on him, to make sure he didn't relapse.

Diana didn't much like leaving her job and her friends in Los Angeles, but we all had to go back to San Diego where we belonged.

Mike and Diana started doing interviews with potential parents for their baby.

Today, Elise and I were lounging on the couch together, drinking wine again, and watching P.S I Love You.

"If I die, I promise I'll try and write enough letters to get you through the rest of your life." I whispered, kissing her hair.

She smiled, "No need. Your songs are more than enough." She said.

I laughed.

It was the first week of June, and unbearably hot outside, so we had the air conditioner on meat locker, and were both wearing the bare minimum of clothing.

She was in a tank top and shorts, and I was in just shorts.

When the air conditioner kicked on though, we both curled up under a blanket, because like I said, Meat Locker.

After awhile, the warmness, and skin on skin contact under the blanket led to other things.

All we had protecting us from the open window in the living room, was a blanket and the confidence that nobody walking by cared enough to look in and see us.

Her sitting on my lap, kissing me, her red hair making a curtain over our faces.

I could feel her pulse as she pressed her body against mine, and I could feel the blood rushing to my head.

I buried my face in the crook of her neck, taking in her aroma of sweat, and her strawberry body wash.

I couldn't stop my teeth against her skin as the feeling took over, and she cried out, holding me closer and tighter.

"Vic." She breathed.

I kissed the skin below her ear, "I love you." I whispered.

She rested her head against mine, "I love you too."

Then she giggled, her laugh, melodic and sweet, like a song.

After that, we laid on the couch naked under the blanket together and just slept for hours.

My phone ringing is what  ended our blissful afternoon.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Practice is running a little late today. Mike and Diana are meeting with another couple." Jaime said.

"Let's hope this is the one they pick. This really can't go on much longer." I said.

"I know. Tour starts next week. we need practice time." He said.

Elise had busied herself with picking up the living room and tidying up.

"Where's Ellie?" Jaime asked.

"Cleaning." I said, putting my shorts back on.

"You just got laid, didn't you?" Jaime asked slyly.

How the hell do they keep figuring this out?

"Yes, why?" I asked.

"I can tell. You're in a good mood. Remember bro, don't be a fool, wrap your tool, you don't want to end up like Mike." Jaime said.

"Unlike Mike, I could handle taking care of a baby, but that still doesn't mean I want one. We're as safe as safe can be Jaimito." I said smiling at Elise, who was washing dishes.
