Shelby's Demons

I sat outside his room, fiddling with my phone. I called Cory about it, they were coming; once they got here, everything would be fine.
But, I just could help but feel that Tommy would never wake up. I just got him back, I didn't want to lose him...I loved him..
"We're here!" Cory came in yelling, and panting.
"SHHHH!" The clerk put her finger to her lips.
"My bad." Cory said annoyed. "Oh, Nick!"
"Cory, I'm glad you're here. Let talk to ya real quick." I pulled to the side.
Cory sounded concerned. "O-oh-Kay N-nick.."
"Tommy, won't wake up..." I started. "He's going to die in a coma."
"What? How do you know?" Cory spit out a chuckle. "What even makes you think that?"
"I read records," I felt ashamed. "It said that when his internal organs are as weak as they should be when he's old- which they are- he'll slip into a coma, he will die in that coma."
"You sound..insane..imma just go over here-now.." Cory backed away, and went to the others.
Now you're the crazy one.
"Takes one to know one. And, I just happen to know a few." I walked over to Tommy's door, everyone seemed to like to congregate there.
"Hey, Nick." Ashlie held her biceps. -which weren't muscular- Her phone in the other hand. "H-how's..Tom..?" She let out a sad chuckle.
"Well, it's definitely not good. That's all I know." I smiled.
"Jon can't help feeling it's his fault." Jon held his thumb and pointer finger to his chin.
"No, Jon, it's not. So juST SHUT UP." Shelby looked angry, I felt scared of her, like there was something in her, too..
Shelby crossed her arms, and continued to look down, Cory fiddled with his phone, Jon looked hurt, Ashlie just sat there, sad and confused, and I didn't dare to see what I looked like.
We were a circus act in a hospital.
