The night air was mild, as it had not reached the time of the year at which the temperature would rise tremendously. The moon shone clear in the cloudless sky, with no city lights to obstruct its luminescence. The silence was bliss, as all one could hear were the chirps of crickets and the occasional howl of the coyote. It definitely beat the city life, full of car horns blaring, a multitude of ambulance sirens screaming throughout the night as well as the not so subtle yelling of neighbors living only fifteen feet away. The simple, easy-going country life was the one that Lilly preferred over anything else.
