Hey guys, please feel free to leave a comment about what you think of the book. It is my first one so I would love all the feedback I can get. Thank you and Enjoy!

The music was raging in the loft as the boy in the black hoodie stepped out onto the balcony and leaned on the railing. The balcony was huge and overlooked New York, the lights were bright and down below the city did not look like it was going to calm down or settle anytime.

"I guess this is why they call it the city that never sleeps," he whispered to himself.

He looked around the balcony, his eyes settling on a girl in a short, purple, asymmetrical dress looking over the city. She looked lost in her own world. He took a deep breath and moved his eyes back to the beautiful city, he could still feel the bass from the party. He looked back at the girl who seemed to be frozen and decided to move closer and see if she was okay. He walked closer to her, but she didn't appear to stir or notice him moving towards her.

"Hello," he said.

She jumped, startled by the sound of someone talking to her, breaking her from the little world in her mind.

"Hi, I'm sorry I didn't realize anyone was here," she replied.

"It's fine, I just wanted to make sure you were okay."

"I'm fine. I just needed some air, I guess I got lost in the beauty of the city."

"I can understand the feeling. The city is beautiful, I just moved here and I already love it."

"Where did you move here from?"

"Sydney, Australia."

"Oh wow! I've always wanted to visit Australia."

"It's beautiful, I love it there. I'm Will by the way,"

"I'm..."

The glass doors to the balcony slid open and a deep, gruff man's voice came from within shouting above the music to be heard.

"BABE! BABE! WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU?"

"I'm here."

"GET OVER HERE NOW! WE'RE LEAVING!"

The girl walked back into the party looking over her shoulder one last time to wave at Will. He saw the man put his arm around her and pull her away from the balcony. Will looked after her hoping to see her as she moved through the party, but the mass of people blocked her view.

"Just my luck, I meet a nice girl and she has a boyfriend."
