I was in what seemed like a Colosseum. The walls were tattered and blood stained and the section to the northern end was crumbling away as cannon fire came bombarding from outside. The whole scene was tragic and reminded me of the war Julius Caesar had fought. Men on horses rode head on to slaughter their comrades in black. I was completely stunned at this scene. Whatever, the stranger who kissed me was doing to mess with my brain was clearly planned and no error of detail was to be left out. The scream of pain and the "Help me" of the wounded made my stomach churn. Was that a head I saw over there with sword engulfed in its ear. The tongue was out of the mouth and wiggling about!

"Die you scums" a familiar voice came from the opening in the southern end of the towering structure. Zaire. He was different. He had grown by an inquisitive amount. He was now between the age of eighteen to twenty I tried to analyze him but I failed. His new behavior was way out of whack. He was wielding a sword and a shield that seemed a tad too big for his taste and control; however his willpower to keep charging into the war was unstoppable. He ran and defended himself against arrows and sword swings that seemed a little too dangerous to be in at all. But all went unnoticed as the white horse behind him came in and the rider jabbed a sword in the back of his neck. I felt a sudden rush of sadness and hurt inside my brain. It wasn't mine it was dark and full of disappointment.

Zaire Fell to the ground and his shield fell. He never let the grip on his sword loosen. He was bleeding profusely and even I, without any medical experience knew he was going to die. The blood started to rush out of his mouth and he held on to something on his chest. The sun. I recognized this amulet; it was the pendant Val had left on the ground that night. " Of all the hardships I faced, I never asked you to return that favor, But if you are listening and still out there, Please don't let me LOSE" With those words he went out cold and seemed to be dead or was just unconscious from the blood loss. I wanted to reach out and help him but it seemed I could only see and do so much. My mind started to swirl and a pinching headache returned. It was now night and I was in the same spot. The fight had been halted and Zaire was still out cold.

The wind I felt across my face was unreal. It threw me off guard and moved me about one foot from where I was standing. A humongous figure had now knelt down beside Zaire and he was furious. "How could they put a flower petal to go at war in a field of thorns I wonder?" He grinned and let out a cold laugh. It made my spine shiver a bit and the area around me became dark. I got up and walked around to face Val and I saw the beast in his face. The smile was accompanied by the release of one inch fangs from each side of the mouth and white of his eye was now black. The skin on his hand hardened and the nails extended three inches. This was no human being I taught. It was a fact from the night before. He lowered his head and sank his teeth into the boy's neck. The now dead boy gave a jolt as if he had been electrocuted. "Damn it" Val screamed. "He was dead too long for my blood alone to spike his life. I didn't want to get Akasha involved in all of this but now it seems I have no choice and I can't leave the poor kid to the dogs that are already sniffing their next meal!"

Val lifted Zaire on his back and he disappeared. I don't know how he did it but he wasn't there anymore and for some reason a gush of wind always hit me when he arrives or leaves.

My eyes drooped and they opened again.

"Stone floors" I taught, this was a house. "Not a house" I observed the scenes in front of me. "This was a Palace". The huge marble stairs and the impeccable stone art on the four surrounding walls made the house as Royal as you could get.

I could see Val was laying Zaire on the couch in the middle of the room and a lady in black walked in. Might I say, was this woman a Goddess? Her skin a chestnut brown and her teal eyes put the "P" in Pretty. Her lips were full and her cheeks were dimpled a bit. She had shoulder height hair, streaked in red and a she was wearing a dark to purple gown. She emitted confidence and strength like they were perfume on her clothing. Val whispered something in her ear and her eyes changed color. Black! Her mouth started to open and her fangs peered out. Although not as flashy as Val's they put the fright in any human.

"Akasha" Val screamed. "Release this boy from the pits of death now". She obediently gave a seductive look at Val and bit her hand. The dark blood dripped out and she placed it over the boy's mouth. There was no movement. None at all.

The Air fell quiet.

There was a stir in Akasha's grin. She muttered the words "LIVE"!

Zaire was still lying there!

No movement!

None Whatsoever!

My eyes bulged at what happened next. The body started to wriggle on the chair and then it fell onto the ground. Val approached and stomped his feet on the boy's chest. Zaire's mouth opened and his chest bulged. He hands came up and held onto his throat. There was a loud cough, and his mouth opened another cough and blood leaked from the boy's mouth, His mouth was bleeding and there I saw it. His teeth started to grow. They came out about one inch and stopped. Zaire couldn't move as yet but he was gasping for air and then there was the sudden jerk. "Swoosh" Zaire launched from the ground and ran about the house with speed I could see but I knew with no logic and reason.........a normal human being could never run that fast......and why was his hair changing color!!!!!!!
