Prologue

Some believe we are demons, others believe we are spawns of the devil, and there are even some who believe we are a breed of undead with no soul, cursed to hell for all eternity.
We have heard it all.
But neither of those rumors are the case, Nor are they any close to the truth of what the real nature of our existence is or is called. We call ourselves the Obscurci, a century old joke some would say. A French name yes, some may even know it's meaning and find it rather humorous, but it's hardly a joke here. Here we all are a 'Family' of sorts weather we all seem to grasp the thought or not.
Our abilities are what bring us together, certainly not pure will.
But we all find Odasious our home.
Here we do not have to hide from who we are, freedom is valued here,
Above all, but there are a strict set of governing laws each one of us has to uphold.
The law is very clear:
1. Each one holds up curfew of exactly 8 sharp.(except those otherwise told by a Council member)

2. No usage of abilities beyond the gate.

3. No mundanes pass the gate into Odasious. If one is spotted or found they are to be reported and the council takes care of their being.

4. Lying is a result of defiance and death follows.

5. NO ONE LEAVES ODASIOUS.

Five rules that's it, it doesn't seem like much but it sure is for us to uphold.
To be stuck here, forever with our own kind.. Never to meet not one not like us...It is pure torture. One would ask why we are so unhappy, For this power it is nor curse or gift...nor for love or evil.
But with are talents its not easy for mundanes to see we are not evil, or the devils spawns.
They would never understand our way of life, nature, the way we think, say, or do. It's all evil and twisted to them... It's why they call us what they do... It's why we are...
The darkened ones.
