Chapter 2: The Day After

Darby's POV:

After the concert finished, Me and Carly went to go backstage, although her body guard wouldn't let us in, but after she saw us she quickly ran over, leaving her fans who had backstage passes and autograph signings. When she told Jeff ( Not His Real Name) about who we were he almost felt ashamed for not letting us backstage. he said 'Any friends of Ms Grande is a friend of the Crew'

Carly and I both replied with a kind 'Thank you' the rest of the evening flew past, then when Carly was in the bathroom Ariana asked me if I wanted to go back to the hotel for the night. I said yes because it's not every day you get  a request like that.

Ariana's POV:

So I invite Darby back to my hotel because i didn't think he had a place to sleep, he had told me that his friend had a place but not him, he was only going to sleep on the couch and not in my room or on my bed.

Carly re-enters drying hands

'What did i miss' Carly askes with an innocent look on her face that i could tell Darby loved from her. I told her that Darby and i were just discussing about twitter and how he never gets to be in my follow spree's because of time differences and no wifi, and just followed him then so i could get more of his lyrics and help him with any problems he has. 'I was also thinking of letting you guys come live with me in Florida' I said

Darby's POV:

' I would love that, I haven't been in a home for nearly a year. My parents kicked me out.' I said feeling upset at the reason

**FLASHBACK**

'THIS IS THE 3RD YEAR IN A ROW THAT YOU ARE FAILING, GET YOUR SHIT AND GET OUT!!!'

'Mum I'm trying my best, there are just too many distractions going on in my personal life here at home with times like THESE happeneing every bloody week'

**FLASHBACK ENDED**

Ariana's POV:

I can tell that it was upsetting for Darby while Carly daeclined because her other friend had booked her an appartment in a different hotel. After about an hour of hanging out with the best people in the world I, I mean we went and had dinner at Crown Casino then went our seperate ways, Darby staying with me.. He asked me if he could have some money for a new phone, I gave him about a grand or so told him to buy some other things like clothes and shoes aswell. He was so gentlemen-like, used manners and a high vocabulary for someone who hadn't had a family for nearly a year now.. using all money he earn't from jobs to buy food and water.

When we get to the Hotel, he said he was going for a shower, I pulled him up and said 'Now hang on, you don't have  change of clothes, we are going back to the shops to get you clothes and a new phone'

Darby's POV:

I told her that while she was getting things from the cab i went down the street and bought the phone and some clothes, nothing compared to how many she had at the hotel waiting for herself. 'I have two more shows in Australia then we are off home.' Ariana said in that voice so angelic it could make a grown man melt. When i woke up, i could barely remeber what happened but i was  in her bed even though the plan was for me to be on the couch and i was spooning her, and i kind of liked it, so i stayed there until she woke up, even while having bed-hair she still looked like an angel. We went and had breakfast and I offered her some tea, even though it was her hotel room but, oh well.. We chatted for a bit and she says out of no where 'tell me about yourself'

'what do you wanna know?' I add

'everything' she quickly replies..

'Well, I have a brother and two sisters, am not in a home never see any of my siblings and love to sing, play guitar and listen to music, but I think you figured the last part out after last night..' I say cracking in a chuckle at the end, she laughs too. Man she is so cute when she laughs my heart melted

anyway, after getting to know each other, which she said she liked very much, we sat and drank tea then stared at each other, then I leaned in for a kiss then she pulls away and apologise, 'what for?' I say

'I just can't do this sorry'

'its fine' I say.. Is she back with Nathan?

I started to awkwardly leave saying I'm sorry if I caused any inconvenience.. Then walk out the front to meet Carls at Starbucks.. After about an hour there, I decided to take advantage of the lovely acoustic Cort guitar that Ariana gave me to earn some extra money by busking.. Then a familiar hand put about 1k in the case.. 'Well well well miss Ariana Grande.. Care for a duet?' I say

'Darby it would be my pleasure'

'how about tattooed heart?'

Ariana's POV

So I hand Darby 1k dollars and he asks if I wanna sing tattooed heart

he cues us in and we start..

*sings Tattooed Heart as a duet*

*just as long as I'm the name, on your tattooed, heart* we chime at different notes that sound perfect together.. It seems we have gathered an audience

Darby's POV

So we finished and thank everyone for the support and kind gestures of money that they gave.. Carly stood baffled that I was just singing her favourite song by one of her favourite artists WITH one of her favorites artists.. Ariana and I just laugh and she signs Carly's CD and what not.. Then says for me to come to hers as she can't let me out on the streets busking to make minimal money.. So I take her up on the offer again and send Carly back to Pakenham..

Thanks for all the waiting everyone, just haven't had the time with school and extra commitments going on.. But its  holidays now so yeah.. And I made it to district in 100m and 200m at athletics...
