                          Prologue

"Well well... What do we have here?" said a voice in front of his closed eyes. Both confused and worried, he struggled to stand on his own two feet. He scanned the area, holding onto the side feeling nauseous. He held his head as the voice spoke again. "I knew you would interfere soon enough Ri'saq!"

"Who are you?" he said, reaching for his dagger, but it wasn't there. He noticed it out the corner of his eye and rushed towards it. As he attemptted to grab it, he found himself on the floor once more. The voice now appeared in what he noticed was Nightingale Armour. "So the legends are true eh?" he said through gritted teeth, the Nightingale using a spell unknown to his knowledge. Unknown to the Nightingale, he rose to his feet. Anger shot through his blood as he launched himself at the Nightingale, spearing her to the floor. She let out a shocking groan as he grabbed his blade and put it against her throat. Just then, Imperial soldiers barged through the door, bows and swords pointing at both him and the Nightingale. He stood back, holstering his dagger and leaning against the wall. She was hauled out of the shack they were all situated. As he attempted to walk out the door, a soldier stood in the way. Ri'saq snarled at him as he brushed past the soldier.

                             Chapter 1

Ri'saq washed his face in the basin at Proudspire Manor in Solitude. He sighed as he stood up, his tunic rustling as he moved and dried his face with a rag. Suddenly, there came a knock at the door. He jumped a bit, before walking over to the door and opening it. "A letter for you, your hands only. Says if you didn't get this, there would be big trouble. Well... That's it. Got to go." he handed Ri'saq the sealed note. He recognised the seal, and shuddered because of it. He ran into his room, grabbing an Iron Dagger and breaking the seal. He read the note:

     'Ri'saq,

You have been named personally by the Jarl of Solitude to be used as something of greater importance than your previous jobs. The Jarl of Solitude wishes to meet with you Turdas, 20 of 2nd Morning Star. Make sure you are there. With regards:

The Jarl's Thane, The Shadow.' Ri'saq sighed deeply before laying on his bed, yawning sorely. He rubbed his eyes before standing up and walking to his door to see the Jarl. He walk out; the sun shining brightly on his house and the busy market stalls close-by, the birds tweeting and chirping tunes of the Imperials and their missions, the crystal blue sky lightening the way. He nodded as he walked passed people in the street up to the Jarl. He finally reached the Jarl and his fortified house. He walked in uncomfortably and climbed the stairs to meet the Jarl. He reached the top of this monstrous staircase, that now revealed the Jarl's throne.

He looked around; the Jarl's black mahogany throne with blue cushions in front of him, his housecarl to Ri'saq's left, his jester to his right and the Jarl himself staring at Ri'saq with hopeful eyes. He nodded to his guests as they wandered off, gesturing Ri'saq to a set of 6 chairs and a grand table. He walked over and sat himself down in a chair. The Jarl walked over and sat opposite him, checking if anyone can be seen, and started to talk. "Ri'saq, I need you to do something dangerous for me. My housecarl, The Shadow, is acting suspiciously. I have reason to believe he is planning to assassinate me and usurp my throne. Help me, please!" Ri'saq nodded and rose to his feet, nodding once more and walking off.

                           Chapter 2

Ri'saq rolled past a massive archway, attempting not to get caught. As a small advantage, Ri'saq wore the woman's Nightingale Armour so he wouldn't be heard. He drew his Nightingale bow and an Ebony Arrow, aiming at a Bandit's head to get in the camp without blowing his cover. He ducked down and slid under a small gap in the ruined castle's walls. He rolled next to another bandit, drawing a dagger and slicing his knee and stamping on it, causing major pain. He looked at the Bandit and smirked under his emotionless mask. He walked off as the Bandit bled to death behind him. He opened the door to the main chambers silently and snuck in quickly rolling into the shade. He drew his dagger silently and threw it at a tall wall. He ran, stepping on the dagger and launching himself on top of the wall. He snuck along the wall silently still and drew his bow, noticing The Shadow discussing something with the Bandit Chieftain.                                  Ri'saq leaped off the wall, swinging on a beam and reaching for a window ledge. His fingers touch the ledge... But they slid off and he started to fall. He panicked, but adrenaline kicked in. He put his legs on the wall and pushed himself away and dived into a well next to The Shadow and the Bandit Chieftain. Ri'saq grabbed the ledge of the well and panted softly while trying to listen to the conversion. "I believe the king suspects nothing." he said, showing a spiteful smirk. Ri'saq smiled because of what he found out, but was now contemplating in his mind how he was going to get out. He threw a stone across the room, it hitting a wall far from his position. The bandits ran towards it as he found his opportunity. He leaped up and sprinted across the room, dived out of the window dodging the arrows and rolled down the hill. He hit his head on the way down, knocking himself

                          Chapter 3

Ri'saq woke after hitting his head, blood dripping down his fur and slowly trickling onto the cold stone floor. He raised his head cautiously, his eyes slit and weary. He heard muffled voices behind him and tried to move... But he couldn't. He was chained to the ceiling. He struggled a bit, but was too tired and weak to carry on. He managed, after a while, to see who the people were. A maid, also a fellow Khajiit walked past Ri'saq. The maid looked at Ri'saq slightly, scars all across her face and body. She yelped as she was beaten with a stick. Ri'saq turned away and struggled to get free. But it was no use. The Shadow, the Bandit Chieftain and 3 other bandits were all standing around him, proding him with swords and sticks. He groaned a little, grabbing everyone's attention. He was confronted by The Shadow as he punched him in the stomach.

Ri'saq groaned and shrieked for another 10 minutes, before there was a thud in front of the huge wooden and iron door. Ri'saq smirked, and could tell what was going to happen. The Shadow shook a bit, before drawing his Dwarven Sword and the Bandit Chieftain drawing his Steel Warhammer. The door swung open, hooded figures rolling in and firing many arrows into the 3 bandits. The Bandit Chieftain swung at one standing in front of Ri'saq, the figure ducking and the Warhammer slicing his chains from the ceiling. Ri'saq dropped, grabbed a shard of metal and ramming it into the underside of the Bandit Chieftain's chin, piercing his flesh and into a vein. Ri'saq rushed over to the maid, picking her up over his shoulder and walking back to the hooded figures. "How can I repay you?" said Ri'saq, confronting the one closest to him.

"With a hug maybe!" replied the figure, taking his hood down to reveal Ri'saq's brother: K'Jargo. Ri'saq smiled, laying down the injured maid in front of the Khajiit medic that wad with the Khajiit rescuers. All 3 of the Khajiit were hugged, greeted and thanked by Ri'saq. Ri'saq smiled and hugged his brother once more. Suddenly, Ri'saq remembered about The Shadow behind him. Ri'saq turned around, dagger in hand and launched himself at The Shadow and place the dagger forcefully yet carefully. "Why? Tell Ri'saq why!"

"I want the money!"

"Not good enough!" Ri'saq hit The Shadow with the handle of the dagger and knocked him out.

                         Chapter 4

The Shadow awoke to rattling chains and chuckling of deep voices. Ri'saq was standing in front of The Shadow and stared at him with evil eyes, yet slightly guilty. Ri'saq's friends looked at The Shadow. "Why do you upset the Jarl? Why do you plead for mercy when you would show none to the Jarl?" asked K'Jargo.

"I'm in it for the power, money and fame. I wanted to be known as someone other than the Jarl's Thane!" replied The Shadow. Ri'saq grunted at the comment and walked away to see the Jarl and tell him what he had found out. "Stay with the prisoner, I am going to inform the Jarl of our amazing news," commented Ri'saq. K'Jargo nodded back, and continued to beat the prisoner.

                            Chapter 5

Ri'saq, after a day or so, arrived back at Solitude. He walked through the iron doors once again, strolling up to the throne. "Excuse us for a moment gentlemen." stated the Jarl. The men were ushered out by the guards and the Jarl sat down in his throne, eager to hear what Ri'saq had to say. "Well, my friend, the problem has been dealt with. The Shadow has been returned to the depths of Soverngard."

"Oh, my debt is forever with you, Ri'saq. As a token of my gratitude, I now make you... Thane of Solitude!" Ri'saq said nothing, nodding and walking away. He returned down the stairs and outside, to be greeted by a mob of adoring fans. Ri'saq made no facial expression under his Nightingale Hood as he brushed through them. His tail flicked one annoyed villager, causing him to shove Ri'saq. He turned around, the metallic yet rusty dark blue reflected the sunlight into the villagers eye. Now even angrier, he threw a punch at Ri'saq. Ri'saq saw this, ducking and pulling the villager over his shoulder, his back slamming on the ground. Walking away, a dagger flew past Ri'saq's face. He rolled to the side, drawing his new invention: the Throwing Arrow. It is a little arrow, aimed for throwing instead of being fired from a bow. Ri'saq threw this arrow into the kneecap of the villager. He rose, walking to Proudspire Manor to rest his fluffy head. He walked in, laying on the bed in just a rag, his black fur warming his body. He fell into a deep sleep moments later, unaware of the next adventure ahead. Little did he know, the journey had just begun...
