Where the Rainbow Ends

Chapter 1

I watched as The Great and Powerful Trixie (that's what she wanted to be called after all) made a trick using some cards. She showed us some patterns and numbers shown on them.

She then called on a volunteer from the audience (which was us) to come onstage and choose a card from the ones she was holding with her magic. Of course none of us chose to as this was just some waste of our time. Some ponies were even leaving the venue!

"Ok this is not what I expected." I said as I turned to leave the venue. Suddenly The Great and Powerful Trixie! (Again?) announced something to the audience. I turned around to listen (because after that I would certainly be leaving) and for some reason the ponies in the crowd were staring at me. Of course this was turning uncomfortable...

Ok why are they even staring at me...?

"You! Did you hear me?" She pointed a hoof at me and I leaned back.

Ok seriously I should really leave now.

I was about to raise my hooves to leave when she carried me with her magic towards the stage. I felt myself land on something. Which is obviously the stage where is the one place I don't want to be.

"So can you please tell me what your name is so that we can proceed to the cards? Because either way I don't really care." She glared at me. I grit my teeth at her.

I looked everywhere. Out of everything I hated in my life this was the worst!

Sapphire you can do it! Just choose a card then your done with all of this nonesense!

I gulped. I stared at the cards and back at the crowd. I stared at the cards and back at the crowd again. This lasted for about 7 minutes. (Yes I even counted how many times I did it)

Trixie yawned. "We're wasting time here... just choose a card..." I felt drops of sweat forming on my head. I chuckled nervously. "Don't worry I'll choose..."

I pointed my hoof on a certain card. Trixie rolled her eyes at me and mouthed the word "finally" she then showed the card to the crowd. "Ok ponies! This is what Sapphire chose! You may now take a seat!"

I turned and galloped down the stage and through the crowd using my sweaty hooves. I didn't look back because why would I do that? The Great and Powerful Trixie (she doesn't even deserve to be called that) just humiliated me in front of a whole crowd! (Well it was just a few ponies)

Oh come one Sapphire nopony didn't even want to go there.

I shook my head. I don't even know why I expected better of her. I continued galloping towards my home. Where I lived with my mom and by this time she was at work. "Ok I guess I should go rest for a while and forget about what happened there at the..."

I then saw a piece of paper- no the newspaper get inserted through my door step. I used my magic to pick it up I read the front page because usually that's the most interesting thing that's on the Ponyville Press newspaper.

As I saw the article that was written on the paper I was shocked. "Wh-What?!" I screamed. Suddenly I heard a knock on my door. I opened it and saw my best friend Amethyst Scale. But she wasn't the only one I saw. She was holding a newspaper using her magic!

"Hey there Sapphire! Just wanted to let you know that... YOU'RE ON THE PAPER!!!" The last thing I saw was black.
