Rayne's POV

Today was the day we would go shopping. Like every Monday before this My Dad and I got in the car, he would ask me about my day and I would ask him about his. But today it was different.

"Hey Dad ?" I asked him. He looked at me with his sad blue green eyes and shrugged. "What's wrong daddy?" I asked him.

"Nothing, baby girl. Just promise me when we get to Walmart that you will go to the crafts to get some paint, canvas, sketchbook, pencils, and colour pencils. Please," he said. Wondering why he asked me to go by myself, I nodded.

When we got to Walmart, I went to the crafts. On my way I saw 5 boys standing in my way. The one in front was about 5'6 and with black hair.  He was tan with Ice blue eyes with a streak of brown in the right like mine. i didn't pay attention to the other fourth before they walked off.

The fifth boy stayed in front of me. He had been staring at me for a couple of moments before he motioned me to follow him. So, like an idiot i followed. After we got to the crafts, he had stop. 

"My name Derek, Derek Jones. And just let you know your dad told me to look out for you." Derek said. I was confused, " What do you mean, watch out for me?" I asked. He looked at me with a look as if I knew what he was talking about.

Rayne it is me Derek. we can mind link.

I can't believe  my dad is a Alpha, he had said he had that we are rogues. I had started to run to the front of Walmart. After i got to the front, i saw blood leading outside i had followed the blood to my dad lying on the ground closed to death. 

I ran over to him and started to cry.

"Baby girl, let me see your hands," he whispered. So I gave him my hands, not knowing what he was going to do. He took my hand and put them over his nose and mouth. I tried to pull
Them away but he was still to strong.

After a minute, he had died by my hands. I had picked him and held him close to me, while I cried. Someone had their arms rapped around me, pulling me away from my father. I kept pulling back to my dad, till I burst back into tears.

Derek picked me up bridal stile, and walked away.

Take me back Derek.

No he is dead their is nothing we can do for him. I am sorry.

But... please Der I need to see him one last time.

No Rayne. He had left me with a letter to give to you.

I can't believe my Dad is dead. He was last bit of family I had left.

Derek's POV

She so heart broken. It makes me sad to see her crying. Tears stain her olive coloured cheeks. Her her bright blue eye turn into red glowing ones. She got her dad's power. He made her steal it. He forced her hand in his death. I start to run to the pack house where Chris should meet us. Once I get to the house I take Rayne to the room her dad slept in on the time he stayed the night. She lays down on the bed and falls into a deep sleep.
