Xavier Smith was only 16 years old when he killed himself, severly depressed he decided to take his own life. Leaving his diary left open on the last page he wrote on, he leaves it on his bed. The next morning is a huge shock for his only parent left, Mr Smith, the headteacher of the local highschool.
Finding his son lying on the floor in his room, he phones 999. Arriving at the hospital with Xavier, he soon knows there is nothing anyone could do and that this was intentional, heartbroken, confused and angry at his son he rushes upstairs and into what was Xavier's room. Noticing the small black hardback book he picks it up. Reading it he notices that this wasn't just a book for letters and doodling, this was his son's diary.
Inside the diary, could tell him why Xavier left and how he felt. Reading the diary Mr Smith finds some gruesome, angering and severly upsetting things, day by day the things his son wrote in the diary gets worse. Angered by what was written in here, he brings it to the school the next morning.
Why did he bring his sons diary to school? What really caused his son to take his own life other than depression?
