Dipper's POV:

It's almost closing time. Wendy will be punching out soon, so if I want to talk with her, now is the chance. I put on my best shirt, and try my best to comb my hair. I haven't had it cut in a while, so it's not very easy. "All right, hair, you win! I just hope Wendy doesn't notice..." That's when I saw something special in my bag. It was the hat Wendy gave me when I left last summer. "Perfect!" I whispered to myself. Mabel saw me putting on the hat. Of course, she was curious as ever. "Heyyy, Bro-Bro! What're you up to? Hmm?" "Nothing." I stated bluntly. "C'mon, Dip. You can't hide your feelings forever!" She's one persistent sibling. "Okay, fine, I was going to go speak with Wendy. Happy now?" She squealed, "Oh my gosh! You're gonna ask her out on a date? Where are you going? Are you going to marry her? What will you name your children?!!" Mabel's line of questioning felt like interrogation. "I'm sorry, Dip, I'm just happy that you're going to finally be with Wendy. I won't tell anybody..." She gestured that she zipped her lip and threw away the key. I blushed. "Well, it's about quitting time, so I should get going. Wish me luck!" I said, hurriedly rushing down the stairs.

Wendy's POV:

Almost quitting time. I can't wait to go home. Maybe now is when I should tell Dipper how I feel. The pain is killing me. Why does love have to be so painful? When it was finally time, I got up, said my goodbyes to Soos, and headed for the door. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. I turned my head to see that it was Dipper. I knew it was him. "Hey, Wendy. Uh... H-how was work.. today?" "It was all right." I responded, trying to hide my affection. "That's good. So, uh, do you have any plans tonight?" Dipper seems a lot more comfortable and confident, which I think is adorable. "Nope. My schedule is empty. Did you want to come over? We could do Movie Night, just like old times!" "Really?" Dipper eagerly replied. "Of course, doofus! Come on, let's go."

Dipper's POV:

That was easy. Of course I'd want to have movie night. That was one of the highlights of my first summer in Gravity Falls. I held her hand, and she held mine, as we walked off to the Corduroy household.

Her house was still nice and cozy. A beautiful log cabin. Not as beautiful as Wendy, but let's not get sidetracked. She walked me over to her bedroom where we sat next to each other on her bed.

Wendy reached over and turned on the TV. She flicked through channels until we came across the one with all of those horrible movies. The movie of the hour was Help! My Mummy's a Werewolf! We both agreed that this would be fun. The movie began, and we were anticipating how bad this movie was gonna be. The onscreen character shouted "Oh no, Mummy! You're turning into a werewolf!" "Aroooo!" the werewolf/mummy howled. "Hahaha!" The two of us snickered.

Wendy's POV:

This movie is truly awful! It's so bad it's hilarious! I occasionally glance over at Dipper. I can tell he's having a good time, but he seems a little tense. "Hey, Dipper?" I ask him." Yeah?" He turned over to look at me. "Are you okay? You look a little tense." I was concerned, but I didn't know why. "I'm alright, I guess." He awkwardly chuckled.

Suddenly, my phone starts buzzing. I take it out of my jeans pocket and look at the caller ID. "Who could be calling at this hour?" I pondered. I answered the call. "Hello?" "Hi Wendy, it's Me. Listen, we're running behind on schedule at the mill, so we're gonna be here a while. At least until tomorrow morning." This was weird. We're never behind schedule. "You gonna be okay by yourself tonight?" "I'll be just fine, Dad. Good night." I hung up and looked over at Dipper. "What was all that about?" He asked with his piercing curiosity. "Just lumber stuff." "Oh, cool. Cool."

Dipper's POV:

This is great! I'm here with Wendy, just the two of us for the whole night! I looked over at Wendy, resting on the bed next to me. Time to make my first move. I lean against her, placing my head on her shoulder. I look up at her, and she leans her head on top of mine. I carefully move my arm to wrap it around her shoulder. She doesn't stop me. I pull myself a bit closer. She looks down and smiles at me. Her eyes are green like emeralds. They're the eyes you could get lost in for hours. She nuzzles my hair, and I begin to blush. I reach my other arm out to give her a full hug. She accepts it with open arms. I think she knows. She knows that I love her.

I wanted to be sure. So, I gently moved my head over to her ear and whispered: "I could do this forever." She blushes until her face turns red. She whispers in my ear: "Why shouldn't we, you big dork?" We both chuckle. Meanwhile, the movie ends. It was even sillier than I thought it would be. Now that the movie is over, I look for a clock. "Wow, it's late. I should probably head ou-" "Wait!" Wendy stopped me. "How about you spend the night?" I gave her proposition a quick thought, and then agreed. "Okay, I'll spend the night." "Alright! You rock, man!" Wendy said as she playfully punched my leg. I could tell Wendy was very happy with my decision.

Wendy's POV:

Dipper made the first move. I'm surprised. I didn't expect him to be the kind of guy to make the first move. Now I'm certain he loves me. All I need is verbal confirmation. Maybe I should tell him that I love him, too.

I fetched Dipper some extra pillows, but when I returned to my room, he was gone. He went into the living room, and dozed off on the couch. I asked him if he wanted to sleep in my bed, since it's more comfortable. "But where would you sleep?" he asked, perplexed. "My bed has room for two, silly!" He's such a goof. "Oh." Dipper was intrigued. He picked up his pillow and followed me to bed. "Wait outside, I need to change." "But you're already perfect!" Dipper joked (or maybe he was serious). "Shut up!" I giggled. I went into my room and closed the door.

Dipper's POV:

This is beyond my wildest dreams! Sleeping at Wendy's house, with her, in her bed? If this didn't sound like a dream, I don't know what did. My pocket buzzed. Mabel was calling. I answered, "Hi, Mabel. What's up?" "Dipper, where are you? It's really late!" Mabel had a hint of concern in her voice, but I assured her everything was fine. "I just had an amazing movie night with Wendy! And she wants me to spend the night!" I couldn't contain my joy. Apparently, neither could Mabel. She screeched uncontrollably. "That's such great news, Dipper! You and Wendy, making it official!" "Well, we haven't confessed to each other yet, but I'm sure we both know. Mabel began screeching again. Soos was yelling for Mabel to stop screeching. "Mabel, stop screaming! We're trying to get some sleep!" Mabel pulled the phone away and yelled that "Dipper is staying over at Wendy's place where they're having a sleepover!" Soos was equally thrilled. "WOO! HECK YES, DIPPER DUUUUUUDE!" "Okay, Mabel, I gotta go. I'll see you tomorrow." Wendy opened the door, dressed in a T-shirt and sweatpants. "What's up?" She wanted to know about the phone call. "Uh... Mabel just wanted to know where I was. Nothing special." "Cool." She didn't seem phased by it.

I crawled into Wendy's bed, and snuggled up beside her. Her bed was comfortable, but she made it perfect. "Goodnight, Dipper." Wendy whispered. "Goodnight, Wendy." I whispered back. "Hey, Wendy, one more thing?" She looked over at me. "Thank you for inviting me over. I had a lot of fun tonight." "Ah, don't mention it." She gently pushed my chest.

Wendy's POV:

I'm glad Dipper had a good time. I could tell he really wanted to spend the night. Then my mind fluttered with questions. Should I tell him now? Why spoil this moment?

It's time for us to get a good night's sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a long day.
Sweet dreams, Dipper.
