I woke up to the sound of howling. Echoing around the dusty, misty cave. A breeze of air blew in my direction, making me shiver all down my spine. I slowly got up. Stretching my legs, then turning back to human form. My brown wavy hair blew in front of my face as more wind came in. I stretched out my fingers and put them on the floor. Searching for something.
I heard howls again... More louder now, I wondered what was going on out there. I so desperately wanted to go out and investigate. But despite my desperation I knew I couldn't. I wasn't aloud out the cave without father knowing. It was dangerous. I turned back into wolf form. I tried to get some sleep, but the howls echoed in my head, louder and louder as much as I tried to ignore it.
The next morning I woke up to the irritating sound of my parents who just came home. I'm guessing they found lunch. They ran in, their dark matted brown fur blowing in the wind, with a deer clasped tightly in their mouths each. They turned to human form, so did I.
