Chapter 8

Jonah wants to meet up in the basketball hall. Pero nagtataka ako bakit sobrang maaga naman ang oras ng
pagkikita namin. I did not bother Matty to wake up. Pagod pa yun and rapidly I arrive in the court. Its dark, hindi pa
nabubuksan ang bintana. I took a few laps and I stayed in the middle of the court. I searched the whole area there is
no sign of Jonah here. Gi-nogood time niya ba ako?

I heard a strange click of a door knob and I saw Nathalie. She was holding a baseball bat on her right hand. I felt
like she is aiming to hit me with that. Shit! I need to run but where? She locked the door the exit-
Tumakbo ako ng mabilis patungong exit. And here I am, its locked too. Oh my, anong gagawin ko. Mukhang galit
nag alit si Nathalie sa akin. Paglingon ko nadiyan na siya. Fudge my life!

“where are you going silly girl?”
I took a deep breath. I paused “pwedi bang pag usapan natin to Nathalie?”
I signaled her to stop but she wont stop. Ano nang gagawin ko sino ng magliligatas sa akin dito? Saan na ang mga
superheroes ko. Batman, superman, ironman kung nasaan ka man. Please help me.

“I don’t want to hurt you May, but I have to. Kasi kung mawawala ka na masosolo ko na siya…”
What the? Ano bang pinagsasabi niya. para siyang nasisiraan ng turnilyo.

“Nathalie this isn’t normal, what do you want? I’ll give it to you”
“you have to die and that’s all I want!” she swings the bat and she hit me right through my arms. Lord nabalian
na ako ng buto. Sumapok pa ang katawan ko sa pader. And it freaking hurts. Please help!

“no please nath, stop” she smiled evily and sinipa pa ako. Gosh I feel like dying. Ang sakit sakit ng braso ko.

“feel that May, no one will help you! And you will die here! Pagod na ako sa kaka intindi kay Jonah. Hindi ko
makuha ang atensyon niya sayo and it hurts me more! You know what, I did all of it! From love letter to your bullying.
But he is so Drawn to you. Hindi ko alam kung ano nakita niya sa pagkatao mo! So need a another thing, I started to
ruin my bedroom and killed my own dog. But he still minds you. Pinaglaban ka pa niya sa akin. I hate that may! minahal
ko siya and he should start liking me back!”

“you’re such a bullshit Nathalie! You think he will like you back? Masyado kang aggressive and self-centered!
Youre a psycho! Ang dapat sayo sa ospital hindi sa school. Sinira mo buhay ko and papatayin mo pa ako. You don’t
deserve Jonah…” I tried to talk even when I was bleeding. My arms were bleeding and its all over on the floor.

“well hindi na yan mangyayari kung dahil papatayin na kita.” Sinipa niya ako at binugbug ng baseball bat sa likod.
Hangang sa hindi na ako makatayo. My eyes went blurry and I heard someone is shouting. I feel sleepy. Hindi na ako
makatayo and I lost my consciousness.

Next thing I know im in the Hospital. Naka cast ang likod, leeg at braso ko. Parang binanga ako ng bus at
nagulungan ng pison but thanks god im still alive. Matty is beside me sleeping. I cant remember anything, and I cant
move my body. Napa isip muna ako sandali then I remembered yes- binugbog ako ni Nathalie and I passed out. So
what happened? When did I arrived here?

Matty woke up beside me. He smiled to me. “hey youre awake after uuuhhhm three days…”
“uhwhat? Wheres mom and dad? What happened? When did I arrived here?”
Natulala lang siya sa akin di niya alam kung ano ang sasabihin at kung ano ang uunahin.

“well technically, you were hospitalized due to excessive bleeding and because of beating. Si mom and dad mo ay
nakipagugnayan pa sa pulis doon sa labas. So ako muna ang magbabantay sayo. And before I can forget mr. Jonah
james castle brought you here, he is begging to see you ever since palagi siyang may dalang flowers… here”
He pointed out the jasmines on the side table. But im still confused of what happened so pinatuloy ni matty yung
story niya kasi napansin nitong curious parin ako.

“nalaman niya yung plano ni Nathalie so he run to you. Sinira niya yung front door ng court to save you. He even
tapped the whole thing para ma prove niya na pscho si Nathalie. So no worries you arrived in the hospital and the
doctor saved you. May mga crack ka lang na buto but it will eventually heal.” He smiled

“para saan yung flowers?”
“yan ba, gusto niya ikaw Makita if ever magising ka na. but sinabi ko na wag muna.”
“Really? That’s good matty… I really don’t want to talk to him. I still hate him”
“but he practically begged in your parent and they just said yes. So it’s your choice kung gusto mo siyang Makita.
Pwedi ko siyang kausapin diyan sa labas.”
“how long did he wait.?”

“uhm… he stays here every day after school. And oo nga pala yung accident hindi well known sa school kasi
walang masyadong nakakita noon mga guards lang and few teacher ang tumulong. So sabi ko sa kanila you had an
accident at the highway. And Nathalie is also expelled they might throw her in rehab for 5 years.”

“so what about Jonah.” Hindi ko napigilang ma curious sa kanya.
“gusto mo ba talagang makausap siya. Kasi feeling ko pinipigilan mo lang sarili mo but deep inside gusto mo
marinig ang side niya.” I stared to him, seriously no feelings attached. Pero tumayo si Matty.
“no Matty! I cant face him I might just hit him.”

“its okay… sabihin mo lang ang galit mo sakanya and be well in your own way and besides. He deserves more
than that. Kung magaling ka na saka mo nalang siya batukan.”
Lumayo na si Matty at lumabas ng room. Nakita niya si Jonah na nakasandig sa pader with a black shirt and tight
jeans Bad boy and dating nito. Kinausap niya agad.

“you know I still hate you Jonah. Pero para sa best friend kong patay na patay sayo. Binabalaan kita, pag may
mangyari pang masama sa kanya isasama na kita sa ex mo doon sa psychiatric hospital.”
“okay pare, thank you talaga.”
He patted his shoulder and there he goes in.
