" Maddie get up your gonna be late for school! " " OK mom! " Today would just be a normal day at school well for normal people.  I am not normal , I'm a wolfblood a werewolf that was born not bitten . And even though werewolf is the actual term for what I am I don't like to be called that.  My best friends Shannon and Tom don't know my secret and neither does anyone else . Unlike others of our kind we live among people,  All other packs live in the wild but not our because my parents believe that wolves should be able to be civilized as well as free. But anyway I have to finish getting ready.  "Maddie finally,  What took you so long?" " Nothing mom. " " Okay well get in the car before we are late. " "Mom it would be so much faster if you would just let me run to school. " " Now maddie you know we can't do that.  It would draw to much attention ." " ugh fine. "
After the long car ride I finally got to school and saw Shannon and Tom waiting for me outside . "Hey guys! " " Hey Madds,  did you here there is a new kid at school! " " Um,  No. Anyway let's not worry about it let's just get to class before Jefferies kills us." We finally got to class so we where about to take our seats I smelt somebody.  " OK class this is Rhydian Wells he is our new student. " " You smell like my parents. " I let it slip without thinking . Everyone started laughing but I couldn't help it .After class I had to meet up with him and after walking around for a while I found him.  "What are you doing here?! " "What? " "If my parents even new you where here they would eat you alive?! " "I don't even know who you are! " "Exactly! " "Just leave me alone! "
