Chapter 1
[Hailey’s POV]
Matt: Hailey, I have to go...
Hailey: But ----
Matt: Don’t worry. I’ll come back. I promise.
He let go of my hand then he started running away. I was left on this room crowded with people. I tried to run after him but it feels like my body wasn’t moving at all. Why? He only left but why does it look like he’ll never come back?

Ehh?! Panirang alarm clock toh! Natutulog ako eh!!! Pero ok lang. At least nagising ako mula sa panaginip na yun. Oh wait, let me rephrase that – nightmare!!!
Bumangon na ako sa kama ko tapos nag-hilamos at toothbrush. Sinuklay ko rin ung buhok ko kahit medyo maayos naman. After that, lumabas na ako sa kwarto ko then I went down to the living room.

Hailey: It was nice. Comfortable.
Yeah, what a great liar!
Mom: Hailey, why don’t you rest for a while? You need a break.
I thought so...malalaman at malalaman ni Mommy ang totoo. She knows me too well. I tried to smile, I know it’s weak.
Hailey: Mom, I’m fine. Staying on my room will only make me weaker!
Mom: Well, I want you to take a break not just because you miss him but because we’re gonna meet up with someone tomorrow.
Hailey: Uhm...we?
Mom: Yes. We.
Hailey: Who’s this someone?
Mom: We’re going to meet up with Mr. Anderson and his son.
Hailey: Mr. Anderson? Unfamiliar surname.
Mom: Of course it’s not familiar. That’s why we’ll meet up with them tomorrow.
Hailey: Mom, I’m sure this is about business again. Don’t drag me into this. I’m not so into it.
Tinalikuran ko si Mommy tapos umakyat na ako sa stairs, babalik na lang ako sa room ko.
Mom: Oh you should be into it because Mr. Anderson’s son is your fiancé.
