The next two days, there were no phone conversations between Cindy and the mysterious boy on the phone.

On Wednesday, she'd been so tired after ballet class that she'd come home and conked out on her bed. Her instructor had been working her and the other girls extra hard due to the annual show that was coming up.

On Thursday night, Cindy had switched off her phone to prevent herself from getting distracted. She'd had a major project due the next day, which she hadn't been even near to completing. Thankfully, the all-nighter she'd pulled had paid off as her teacher had been happy with her work.

Unfortunately, she was regretting the late night now. Her eyes were drooping and she wasn't able to concentrate on the math sums she'd gotten as homework. She'd almost completely dozed off, when her phone rang.

"Hello?" Her voice was husky from the lack of sleep.

"Sorry, did I wake you?" He sounded amused.

Realising who it was, she instantly got up, "Hi."

"Two days of silence and all I get is a 'hi'?"

"Four lame-ass conversations with you and I don't even get a name?"

He chuckled, "Touché."

"That reminds me, what do I call you? I can't keep referring to you as 'mysterious guy on the phone' every time I think of you. It's too tedious." She paused for a moment and smirked, "I've got it! Loverboy!"

He groaned, "I'd be flattered that you think about me if it wasn't for the fact that you just called me Loverboy."

Cindy laughed, "I think it's very fitting."

She heard him grumble something under his breath, and then snicker. "Sorry, what?"

"Nothing." His voice raised an octave.

She narrowed her eyes, "What did you say?"

Cindy wasn't sure, but she could swear she heard his breath hitch, "It was nothing! Just a very inappropriate and immature joke."

Cindy furrowed her brows, "Tell me!"

"It has something to do with fitting."

She thought for a moment, and then realisation dawned upon her. "Ugh! You're disgusting."

He snickered again.

"Well, I think Loverboy it is then, since you seem to have no problem."

His laughing died down as he groaned once again, "Please don't call me Loverboy."

"You're not giving me your real name so you're stuck with this."

"How about a compromise? Call me LB instead. It sounds cooler." LB did sound better, and was less of a mouthful, but she'd never tell him that.

"No."

Groaning once again, "I'm going to die of humiliation every time you call me that."

"Suck it up, Loverboy."

"Bye."

She was still laughing when her phone rang again.

"Couldn't keep away Loverboy?" Cindy was smirking now.

"You know I'm starting to reconsider whether talking to you is worth this humiliation."

"And is it?"

"Yes."

AN: So so sorry! School has been an absolute bitch. ☹☹.

Hope the chapter makes up for it! I'm also working on Chapter 3 of King's Downfall.

IMPORTANT:-

Could you please vote for me in The Fictional Awards. All you need to do is visit @thefictionawards profile and comment my book and user next to the category in their book - The Fiction Awards 2017. (I mean you'll have inline comment). If you're still not sure about what to do, the second chapter contains all the instructions and the categories.

It'd be great if you could nominate Insta Hotline for Best Short Story. (You can nominate different books under the same category, so if you've already nominated another book and wish to nominate mine too, it isn't a problem).

Also, I'm most probably eligible for Best of the Beginners so I'd be eternally grateful if you could nominate me for that! I have slightly higher chances of winning that if you guys nominate me there!

I'll love you forever if you do! If I even get past the first round, it'd be a huge deal for me.
