Beth stumbled into her flat yanking the heavy luggage behind her. Pulling the suitcase in front of her she kicked the door shut, the 18 year old dropped everything in a heap on the floor. Sighing, walked around small rooms which she would call home for the next year or so. to her left seemed to be a storage cupboard "self explanatory" she said to herself and walked through the door in front of her into the dining room. The tablecloth was a dark purple with floral patterns printed onto it. "ugly as fu*k" Beth said, grabbing the cloth and pulled revealing a slightly scratched and dented wooden table. She heisted for a moment gave a sigh and threw the table cloth back on top of the table in a ball. She then turned right and walked into the kitchen. Walking up to all the cupboards and draws checking if any belongings had been left behind be the last people who called this place their home. Realising that all that had been left was cutlery and a few pans and plates she walked through the dining room to her new bedroom. the bed sheets were crisp and white. Rather welcoming with a decent mattress, two bedside tables, a wardrobe and a nice chest of draws to go with it. Beth walked into the bathroom revealing a bath as well as a shower. she smiled and caught a glimpse of her reddy/ brown hair in the polished mirror. She walked over and looked at her own deep blue eyes. "This is it Beth, a new start. now don't fuck up" she said to herself before leaving to drag her heavy luggage to the bedroom. she has trouble pulling it around the table however with a little bit of swearing and brute force she managed without breaking anything. she unzipped the suitcase and started to unpack her suitcase revealing her chosen positions which she believed would make her life easier the next few  months. She picked up and revealed several scrunched up t-shirts she tossed in the suitcase several hours before. She lifted herself up and walked towards the draws, placing the pile of t-shirts on top. The chest of draws has two separate draws at the top and below followed three individual full length draws. Beth selected the first full length draw and laid out the t-shirts in in a slightly untidy but acceptable fashion. she returned to the suitcase and gathered the trousers and shorts before retreating back to the chest of draws to place the clothing in the second full length draw, under the t-shirts. She did the same with her underwear and socks, placing them in one of the top two draws and finally placing her currently unused shoes in the bottom draw. She then lifted the suitcase onto the bed and placed a few trinkets and photo frames around the room in easy to observe places. Finishing with placing her trusted alarm clock on the bedside table. Standing back her kicked the suitcase under the bed and lay down with a slump. "home sweet home". Beth closed eyes thinking about her journey here and fell asleep.

'09:07 pm' her clock read. "balls" she said and lifted her slightly sweaty body up and over to the bathroom. shower on. She pulled off her top and realised she needed to find shampoo and a towel. Surely enough there were those small bottles you normally get in hotels. She found a towel in the storage cupboard along with a hoover and a brush and other cleaning supplies. Walking back to the bath room she noticed load music blaring through the wall in the kitchen, obviously coming from the other side. "for fu*k sake" she exclaimed and walked to the bathroom in a slight huff knowing she is probably going to have to put up with that racket until her or whoever beyond that wall leaves. She walked into the bathroom and took the rest of her clothes off and finally stepping in to the shower. She soaked her face and hair under the warm water and rubbed the cheap vanilla shampoo into her hair. After giving herself many telly tubby hairstyles she started to wash her hair out however in her haste some of the shampoo ran into her eyes. "ahh fu*k" she said as she grabbed blindly for the towel. Finally she found it and rubbed her eyes dry and continued to rinse her hair. After these events she removed herself from the shower and slipped on some loose, grey jogging bottoms and a  loose, orange NIKE t-shirt. Beth walked into the bedroom and felt her stomach rumble, However she remembered the vending machines as she walked into the flats. She slipped on her Converse tying the laces carelessly and headed out the door. locking it behind her. Beth Walked down the empty corridor towards the lift. Inside she pressed the 'ground level' button and stepped back, leaning on the back wall of the lift. She watched the lights flash as they counted down to the first floor. Finally the doors opened and she walked towards the reception desk where the vending machines were. 'A5, F1, G6' and a packet of crisps, a biscuit bar and a bottle of water fell down after paying for the overpriced crap.

Beth turned around to discover a very attractive man staring. Normally they would look away however this man continued to look at her with his deep blue eyes and perfectly carved face. His black hair covered parts of his face. he was wearing a black suit with white shirt visible underneath. He was leant on the wall with one of his legs crossed over the other in a relaxed and controlled form. The moonlight was projected from behind through the glass, silhouetting him perfectly. He smiled at Beth revealing his perfect lion growl teeth. Beth's stomach exploded with butterflies. She managed to control her excitement and smiled back shyly. The man looked down breaking eye contact however looked back up at Beth now with what looked like a seductive smirk on his face. Beth held the food a little tighter and broke eye contact again, walking towards the door. She was three steps away from the lift. "I haven't see you before" a voice said behind her. Beth turned her head towards the angelic figure. He moved towards her with a very confident pace. Beth turned to face him and he stopped two foot away from her. he was quite taller than her, her eyes level with his perfect cherry lips. Looking at him she answered, "I moved in today. room 102". The angelic figure chuckled and pressed the button to call the lift. "right next to mine" the doors opened and he signalled Beth to enter. She obeyed with a small smile. "was he the one playing that shi**y music" Beth thought as the doors closed with him inside with her. Beth realised he was holding a pair of Mercedes car keys. "he could be loaded... friends?" she said internally. The man leant against the back wall of the lift and the lift started to rise. "what's your name, snowflake?" he said looking Beth in the eyes. Beth smiled at him "Beth," she blush slightly and looked down, "you?"                                                                                    "Ash" he looked Beth up and down and clenched his jaw slightly. Beth noticed and went bright red, trying to hide her face.

Finally the doors opened and she walked out at a pace. Ash followed closely. He caught up with her, walking beside her. "you okay snowflake?" he asked. Beth looked up at him while she walked. "I'm fine, thanks". She pulled out her keys and turned to her door. She hesitated and turned to Ash. He was leaning on the wall beside her door, looking at Beth deeply. "your stunning" he finally broke the silence. Beth's heart fluttered, butterflies filled her stomach and her throat tightened a little. She swallowed and looked him and smiled sweetly. "I'm really not, but thank you" she responded. He smirked and watched her put the key in the door and turned it. The door opened slightly and Beth looked at Ash "ill see you tomorrow then" Ash nodded once and pulled his own key out, walking to his door, opening it swiftly and took one last glance of Beth "those are really unhealthy" he disappeared for a second and threw an apple to Beth. She just caught it and looked up to a closed door and no Ash. She sank inside slightly and did the same. Walking through her apartment wasn't the same since she knew what was living through the wall. she sprawled across the bed and put the food on the bedside table. She sat up and remembered what Ash said and took only the apple. She threw the core in the bin, removed her shoes and pulled the covers over her only thinking of Ash she fell asleep.
