Staying a Night With Natsu

Hello my readers!!! Sorry if took me so long to update. Exams are coming up so I might not be able to update as much but I shall try my best! Also, I don't own the picture or Fairy Tail characters mentioned. Anyway, here is the next part. Enjoy!!! 

          Going into my medium sized bedroom, I glided to my bed before crashing on the queen sized mattress. Natsu snorted before taking off his sandals and joined me. As he removed his jacket along the way, I suddenly noticed how Happy was laying above my head and how he was already asleep. One would think 7 years of sleep was enough for the exceed and dragon slayer. I sighed in exhaustion when the bed dipped. Alerting me that Natsu was now in bed. Sealing my eyes shut, the sound of the dragon slayer next to me speaking lowly, not wanting to wake up his exceed, almost made me jump.

          "What happened Antonio? What can't we know or see?" I growled in a low tone, telling the dragon slayer to back off. He responded in a low, dangerous growl himself when he noticed my lower head in submission. He sighed, not wanting to make me feel bad before closing his eyes.

          "Good night Toni," I closed my eyes and responded as sleep reclaimed me again.

          "Night Natsu."

          The next time I awoke, my body was sweating and warm tears were streaming down my face. I instantly tried to silence my sobs but at last they were still loud enough to rouse Natsu out of sleep. Which was shocking because he's a heavy sleeper.

           "Everything alright Toni?" I hummed shakily, not trusting my voice when Natsu did something that made my heart nearly stop beating. The dragon slayer wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into his hard chest. My inner dragon purred at the warmth given but I knew he was only trying to calm me down.

          "You're freezing water boy," I growled softly but let the insult slide. "Also, I was already awake. You kept moving too much," I was about to speak when the pyro began to rub my back.

          'What is with him?!?!?!' I thought as he continued to try and sooth me. This was so unlike the fire dragon slayer.

          "Just relax and fall asleep. Everyone's alright and no one is going after the guild any more. Just sleep and everything will be alright. We're all back and one big family again," I nodded tiredly into the dragon slayer's chest when Happy snuggled deeper into my chest. When did he move there? As I began to fall into the slumbers of deep rest, Natsu muttered words in Japanese, a language my mother taught me.

          "Watashi ga inakute mo nani ga okotta nodesu ka?"*

Natsu's PoV

          As I stared down at the Water Dragon Slayer that laid besides me, his breathing was slowly evening out. My onyx eyes watched for any signs of discomfort or distress when he nuzzled closer to my chest and muttered incoherent words. I smiled and tightened my hold on him slightly. What caused this little ball of energy and joy to turn into an exhausted and sad teenager? Deciding to be daring, which is in my nature, I carefully placed Antonio on top of my chest, leaving us in a suggestive position. Seeming to like the position, Antonio hid his face in the crook of my neck and sighed in deep relaxation. Geez, how stress was he until we came back home? Not really caring about the aftermath of what I did, I closed my eyes and slowly fell asleep. A million questions running through my mind. Just what happened while we were gone?

          I awoke to someone's faint breathing into my sensitive neck and two cool arms wrapped around my torso. Glancing out the window, I noticed that the sun had just barely risen and the world was slowly awakening. Observing the boy on top of me, I barely noticed the fading scars on his shoulders.

          "Antonio," I whispered softly into his sensitive ear, causing him to shiver. "Time to get up," not 3 minutes later, the blond began to wake up. Carefully, like a newborn fawn, his Jade green hues were revealed and he flinched at the sudden light.

          "Do I have to Natsu? Can't we just stay like this for a few more minutes?" I raised an eyebrow at his unusual behavior but only sighed. We need to meet up at the guild to find out what happened and all that.

        "The guild needs someone there to open it up," that got the Water Dragon Slayer moving. He was off me and changing out of his pajamas in 2 minutes. Watching the dragon slayer intently, I watched as his tank revealed many scars. Old and new ones. Along with some torture marks but from who? My inner dragon was enraged that he was in such pain but I did nothing to act on those instincts. Knowing that Antonio needed the space and not a million questions hurdling towards him. I coughed into my hands and he glanced at me in confusion.

          "Is something wrong Natsu?" I pointed towards his bare chest and it clicked in his mind. Tears began to form when I turned around and muttered.

          "I won't ask any questions," I could still smell the tears but Antonio was trying to regulate his breathing. Picking up my discarded jacket, I slipped it back on and glanced at the now dressed Water Dragon Slayer.

          "Let's go. We'll pick up breakfast along the way," Toni commented.

          "Got it. Happy, wake up," I shook my partner when the blue exceed shot up and stared at me.

          "Where is Lucy's boobs!?!?**" I busted out laughing when I was punched in the face.

          "Jerk!" Antonio shouted. I rubbed my injured head as Antonio glared at the blue exceed, who was shivering underneath his gaze. Toni sighed before opening the door and leaving.

          "Let's go, we have things to tend to," I nodded, agreeing with Antonio and began to follow him. Why was the water dragon slayer not being more joking or happy? I shrugged it off and began making our way to the guild.
