Once Night Comes

Chapter 1

Kids are disappearing every night.

First, everyone falls asleep as usual,  then one kid goes missing without a trace.  Forever.

No one is safe here. Everyone is worried about their kids, family, friends.
You never know if you're gonna wake up one God knows where, far away from home, knowing that you're never gonna see your beloved once ever again. It's terrifying.

We call them The Shadows. We never see their faces, never hear them coming, never see them going.

You think that it's not possible to get worse, but once you wake up you realize that you were wrong.

We've tried everything. 
People were trying to get out of the town, stay awake at night even looking for The Shadows. The parents ended up killed, the kids - gone.
No one actually survived to tell us about those creatures.
  We don't know who they are, how many they are,  what they want or why they are doing this. We're hopeless,  useless and alone. Looks like they know us well. They know where we are, what we're doing,  everything!  We are now under their control, under the control of somebody that we've never seen.
