When I am with you
things aren't the way they used to be.
When we first met, you would look at me
like I was the only girl that you would ever love.
But now, I see you looking at her
and it's the same way that you used to look at me.
What does she have that I don't?
Maybe it is the way that she sways her hips when she walks by.
Or how your name sounds rolling off her tongue.
She's perfect in every way.
I know deep down, that there is nothing I can do
to keep you from her.
You know what they say
if you love something let it go.
And that's the thing, I love you so much
that I'm letting you go.
So you can have her and not have to worry about me anymore.
And yes, I'll miss you very much
and it'll hurt once you leave for someone else.
But, at least I'll know that you are truly happy
and have finally found someone who doesn't
make you so stressed and tired all the time
because of countless fights about small and pointless things.
So this is me saying goodbye and finally letting go.
