Basically this is just a whole bunch of poetry from the point of view of those who love people who are broken. Its a little bit boring, but some of it is what I wish people would have said to me, and some are things I say to people I know who are broken. Enjoy!
Tomorrow and Every Tomorrow For Forever
You look towards the mirror
All you see is you
Ugly
Worn
Imperfect
You
I look towards the mirror
All I see is you
Beautifully
Vintage
Imperfectly perfect
You
You look again hoping
Will you see what I saw?
No make-up
Too many freckles
Too big lips
Why am I so imperfect?
You ask yourself
Tears threaten
I look again disappointed
Why don’t you see the truth?
Doesn’t even need makeup
Freckles and sunspots showing the time you spent in the sun
Lips big enough to say your opinions
Why is it so hard?
I ask you
Wiping away he tears that begin to fall
You bring the razor to your arm again
Just one for each imperfection
The fat that collects on my stomach
The eyes that are too far apart
The nose that is too small
The freckles that aren’t a light sprinkling, more like an avalanche
The feet that are always awkwardly large
The height that intimidates everyone
A voice high than normal
Every single cut takes away the pain, but you know it will only return again
Tomorrow and every tomorrow for forever
I painfully watch a broken girl
A kiss for everything that makes you beautiful
The fat showing you are well fed and nourished
The eyes that can hold so much emotion
The nose that is cute as a button
The freckles telling a story
The feet that can carry you miles up to heaven
The height gave you to be closer to him
A voice of an angel
You say to go away, but you know I love you and can’t
Tomorrow and every tomorrow for forever
