He punched me in the face. My hand started to glow a yellowish color but I didn't know why that was happening. I hid my hand up my sleeve so no one could see. "Oh yeah my name is Jake." he smirked evilly at me and walked away with his gang of his so called "Friends". My nose was bleeding but I went over and sat down next to the boy on the ground. "Are you ok?" I said as inspecting his face. He pushed up his glasses and looked at the ground and not responding. I saw a tear drip down his eye as if it was never there. I open my bag I have with me to get a tissue, and hand it to him. I take one for my self and wipe my own bloody nose. I stand up and hold out my hand for him to grab. He grabs it and we walk to the nurses office together.
At the nurses office she gave me more tissues and an ice pack for the boy. He still didn't speak but I knew he was depressed. Now noticing that his books and my books have been left in the hallway I decided to go get them.
I got to the hallway with the books and bent down to pick them up but I felt a presence behind me. I whip my hair around to see who it was. It was Jake, and only him. "Hey still mad?" he said to me calmly. "Well no duh of course I am,you bullied that boy and punched me!" I pick up the books and walk to the nurses office and he follows. I walk faster but he decides to too. I decide to run but, being the big clutz I am I tripped over my own foot. I drop everything (again) and he's still right behind me."I just wanted to say I'm sorry." I gathered the books and got up and kept walking. He stood at the spot I left him at with a really upset look on his face.
I got to the nurses and gave the boy his books.
"What's your name? I'm Katerina."
" I'm Austin." he said shyly
"Nice too meet you." I smiled
"Hey thanks for standing up for me he has been doing that for a while now."
"My pleasure."
~~~~~AUSTIN'S P.O.V~~~~~
Did I just talk to a girl?? For the first time in forever! I felt jittery as I got up to get a late pass from the nurse. Katerina walked me to my next class and then she went to her own. When I walked in obviously everyone stopped and stared.
" Austin dear why are you late?"
"Sorry Ms I had some personal problems." I handed her the note.
"Okay Austin take a seat."

I walked in to class and took a seat next to some girl. No one noticed which made me really happy. But then of course...
" Oh hello our new student is here."
At this moment I wish I could die in a hole.
"Why don't you introduce yourself?"
I stood up and looked at the class. I saw Jake in the back of the class room and made no I contact with him even though I could just see him looking at me while I stood there.
"I'm Katerina." I sat back down
" Okay good now shall we get started?"
Since this was math I obviously forgot to take out my giant spiral notebook from my locker and a pencil. So I just sat there thinking about what would happen later.
* bell rings*
I gathered my stuff and headed to my locker and grabbed my lunch and went to the cafeteria. I sat with Kaylee and a few of her friends.
"This place is big!"
" Yeah you have never seen something big as this before?"
"Limited space in New York What'd you expect?"
I look over to see Austin sitting on the floor and Jake above him with orange juice over Austin's head ready to pour. Austin doesn't notice but I do. I marched over there and said.
"Hey Austin do you wanna come sit with us?"
Jake glared at me and put down the orange juice. He walks over to me.
"So I captured your attention didn't I?"
"In your dreams I came over here to get my friend, Austin."
"That dork are you kidding me?" he laughed and a bunch of his friends joined in too.
I nodded over at Austin and he knew what I meant. He handed me the orange juice.
"You think this is funny? I'll show you funny."
I poured the orange juice on his head.
I helped Austin up and we walked over to the table. The girls at my table were staring at me while having an evil grin in their faces. They knew it was funny. I looked back at Jake and he had an evil smirk on his face while he glared at me. Somehow I felt threatened.
~~~~~JAKE'S P.O.V~~~~~
I can't believe she did that to me. I knew I would get her back. And somehow win her over but I already know she hates me. But really Austin? Why him? He is just another loser like the rest of the kids in this school. But Katerina. I have no words about her. She's perfect. But I know I could never tell her that.

~~~~~KATERINA'S P.O.V~~~~~
I was walking up to the house as I saw a moving truck in front of it. WHAT IS HAPPENING! I run quickly up to the door I saw mom and dad fighting I ran up to my room to find Samantha sitting on my bed waiting for me. I gave her a hug and I looked at her. She was crying again. She looked at me and said.
"He's leaving."
