Wind and rain pounded the cement and concrete towers around the quiet hole in the wall bar. The warm glow from the windows invited those who knew where to look inside for a stiff drink. One bartender was all that was required to serve a few patrons. Three very special regulars met once a month to discuss techniques and improvements. Sitting in a dark corner looking out at the rest of the bar, their sharp gaze accessed the room hunting for fresh meat. The howling of the wind sharpened with the opening of the door, announcing the arrival of two very different characters. One soaked to the bone in shorts and a sleeveless hoodie, the other boot cut jeans, tank top and a wide smile suggested a love of the thunder that shook the foundation.
Perking up, the bartender started pouring two drinks with the ease of familiarity. Shaking out red hair, the jean clad ass was watched by the intense hidden eyes of one of the back men. Movement in the mess front pocket of the gray hoodie caught the eye of another member of the trio. Meeting forgotten, the two females had stolen their entire attention. Taking seats at the bar, the girls greeted the bartender and accepted the drinks she had poured. "Willkommen, here's your whiskey and Sprite."
"Hey, Morticia, is it okay if I let Unagi out of my pocket? She hates being stuck in my pocket for too long." Slipping off her hood, a blonde ponytail bounced out now free.
"Jawohl! Let me hold her. And Laia, don't forget to freak out the other customers. Despite what you two think I can't make enough money off you alone to run a business."
"Okay, but let me hold her first to calm her down," unzipping her pocket a snake wrapped tightly around her wrist and looked around curiously. "Shhh, it's okay, just the bar and our friends, no need to be freaked out," cooed Laia. Coming out from behind the bar, nothing was usual about the regular black on black outfit, except for the boots. Black combat boots. Slowly the snake coils loosened and it slithered onto the friendly bartender's hand.
Looking at each other, the dark men agreed that their prey had walked to them tonight.
"Cheers to an interesting night, which we might not survive."
"One can only hope," Morticia joined with water from behind the bar. Water, Sprite, and a whiskey shot clicked in the almost empty bar. The air felt different that night, the other bar flies knew it was time to flee.
"Give me Unagi before we lose her in your hair," the long wavy brunette hair of the bartender had caught the attention of the friendly snake. Switching hands, the ball python curled into a bracelet shape around Laia's wrist.
"Mmm, now that I'm warmed up, do you have my seeds back there?" Peeking over the bar, Dessa tried to see the small leather pouch.
"Of course, just remember to be interesting enough to get close." Reaching to the top shelf, Morticia drew down the small pouch and handed it to her friend.
A wicked smile spread across her lips and a chuckle shook her shoulders. "As long as you remember to speak up and show him the real you."
"Oh shut up," Morticia's warmed checks were a siren song to dark eyes that watched her every move.
After one more shot warmed her stomach, the redhead leaned against the bar and looked directly at the dark corner hiding the wolves. Tension filled the room, the three men moved as one to stand and advanced on their prize.
"Should we introduce ourselves?" Morticia and Laia fell on either side of Dessa. On cue, "You Don't Own Me" started to play as the two groups moved toward each other. Raising their eyebrows at the choice of song, the men advanced intrigued by the unique group.
Reaching Rire first, Dessa circled him and undid his hair tie, letting it drop down his back. Intense piercing eyes her from behind his signature sunglasses, interest peaked at the gall of the human.
Morticia reached Strade and blushed looking at the floor only glancing up to watch his progress toward her. Strade smirked, licking his lips while rotating around her.
Approaching Laia, Sano grasped the hand with the snake curled tightly around it and raised it to his lips. Stealing her breath he first nodded to Unagi first and earned her respect before brushing his lips across her knuckles. Smiling she looked deep into his eyes, unafraid of the cold, aloof front he locked himself behind.
Wrapping his arm around her waist, Rire smirked, showing off his teeth, excepting a shriek. Moving closer, Dessa wrapped her arms around his neck and removed his sunglasses. Sneering he growled, "You shouldn't have done that stupid human."
A smug grin overtook her face, "What made you think I'm
A human silly demon?" Finding the silver chain hidden under his collar, she lifted the glass bottle from under his vest. "Tsk, you won't ever own me," smirking she let it fall to the ground, shattering.
Enraged he slammed her against the wall, "Silly demon, huh?" Tentacles pinned her arms above her head, a cocky smirk stretching across his face at her predicament. Green vines firmly wrapped around the black slippery mass, stunning the once cocky demon.
Stalking closer Dessa whispered into his ear, "Don't mistake me for the easy prey of humans, I'm so much more." Leaning back excited glowing yellow eyes looked into smirking green rimmed yellow eyes that glowed right back.
"Forgive me; I won't make the same mistake twice," drawing her closer with one arm, the other slipped into her hair and tugged her head back. "You're meant for so much more than to sit on my shelf, untouched."
Returning to her front, Strade reached out to grasp her chin and tilted her head up to look him in the eye. His jacket had eased open enough to see a glint of steel in an inner pocket. Losing her shyness Morticia moved forward, eyes locked on the blade. Grabbing the hilt she tested the blade's edge with her other hand. Astonished Strade watched as she met his gaze, beaming confidently with knife in hand. With a breathless whisper, she said, "If you want to cause more pain you should dull this a bit." Pulling her own blade from her waistband, "Like mine, I kept the other side sharper for more blood for when I feel like getting messy." Harsh panting filled the air as Strade reached for her neck needing to own her. With the ease of practice, she sliced his calf muscles, making him drop to his knees. "Oh baby, I don't want to end this too quickly." Dragging her knife across his chest, she sliced open his shirt. "It's not every day I don't have to gag a man to stop his screams of fear."
Biting his lip he growled, "Give me my knife, I need to mark you."
Smiling sweetly she leaned in close, "There'll be time enough for that once I stitch you back up at my place." Groans and growls met her sentence and she bit her lip with a smirk, "Remember to be a good boy between here and there."
A centipede crawled out of Sano's pocket onto Laia's hand still held in his. Grinning, she pulled her hand closer to her face, "What's your name, lovely creature?" Listening closer Sano heard, "Sayaka." Assuming she was human, Sano opened his mouth to speak when he heard, "What a lovely name for a beautiful centipede. This is Unagi, my snake that's curious about everything." Sayaka nodded to Unagi as a greeting before crawling onto his shoulder, whispering in his ear, "I like her. Keep her around for a while." Astounded Sano felt her crawl back into his pocket, unable to move his eyes from the fascinating female in front of him. Slipping her hand out of his slackened grip, she ran her hands through his hair and balanced on her tiptoes to whisper, "Speechless already doc. We're just getting started."
Their monthly meetings were never the same again. Each man walked away with a new partner, ready with new ideas and techniques to prolong the fun. As promised that night ended in a very interesting way, in that little hole in the wall bar.
