As I open my front door a slight cold breeze touched my skin and the summer sun

beamed toward me. I listen to all the birds singing to one another while I wait for my

mother to lock the door behind me. She skips past me playing with her car keys in one

hand. "You coming, we have to pick up your brother at his baseball game! We're going to

be late!" Mom says annoyed. I look up at the birds one more time then jog over to the car

and climb in. As I shut the door mom pokes my shoulder softly I could barely feel it. I turn

my head slowly to see her holding a colourful present with bold lettering saying "Ava" my

name? I look up at her to see a huge grin on her face. Is this for me? I think to my self. I

grab the present from her soft hands. "Open it Ava!" Mom says cheerfully. I smile at her

and then looked back at the present. " I'll open it later,we have to pick someone up!

Remember? " I tightly hold the gift in my hands before mom starts the car.I can hear the

cars engines' voice as it starts to move.I slide the gift between my legs so it wouldn't ruin.

As I open the window a brush of wind comes to brush my blond hair.I look over to my

mom and smile as we listen to the radio.as we turn right we hear a loud honking noise

gradually getting louder.I look around to see whats happening,I got a glimpse of a truck

before it hits us.
