Mae POV

I walked up to the front gates with James, still holding my hand.

We were walking up to the gates of Pax, but something caught my eye... A red and black checkered jacket. I pulled James along, well he pulled me, but I couldn't go as fast because of the baby.

"Are you BajanCanadian?" James asked the man.

"Yes I am. What's your name?"

"I'm James. That's my older sister, Mae. She is pregnant."

"Oh, uh. Hi, Mae." Mitch said, turning to me.

"Hi. James, you can't go around telling people I'm pregnant." I scolded him.

"Sorry, Mae. I thought Mitch might want to know, because he is our best friend, right, Mitch?" James asked hopefully.

"Uh, ya. Hey James, can I talk to Mae for a minute?"

"Sure!"

As James walked to a nearby swingset, Mitch asked me a BUNCH of questions.

"Mae, how old are you?"

"I'm 16 and proud." I responded.

"And you PREGNANT?" Mitch said.

"Yes, the baby is a girl, and her name is going to be Jay."

"Did your boyfriend pick that out?" Mitch said. He laughed.

"Listen, Mitch, you don't know ANYTHING about me. I may be 8 months pregnant, but I do NOT have a boyfriend."

"Ok, ok. What happened to him?"

"I NEVER EVEN HAD A BOYFRIEND! I NEVER WANTED THIS TO HAPPEN! I HAD TO ADOPT MY LITTLE BROTHER BECAUSE MY PARENTS ABUSED US AND IM PREGNANT BECAUSE WHEN I WAS WALKING HOME FROM ADOPTING HIM, I WAS FUCKING RAPED!" I whisper yelled at him.

Mitch gasped. Ya, I have it worse that you, Canadian boy.
