Forget me, please

I was held back, but I didn't let myself falter from the emotional stare he gave me. I just only wish that I can do something to help him forget me temporarily.

Yet, I also knew the risk. He would convince the others to stop this search for me, and would eventually forget the woman he loves dearly. I cannot bring myself to do it.

Please, I am just a speck of your memory. Forget me for a while because...I can't continue if my mind continues to swirl around you.

~Perfection

Footsteps grazed the grass as Spellweaver and Truth chased after Logic. He was still in a daze after the encounter with the woman they were after, and his lover. He couldn't bring himself to think that she would just run away like that, wishing to never get in her way.

"Brother!" Spellweaver called, catching up to her brother. She panted, for his location was far from the cave. Truth fell short behind her, yet still managed to catch up. "Was that Perfection?!"

"Yes, yes it was." He replied, without even sending his sister a glance. Logic was only staring at the trail in front of him, where Perfection left a while ago.

"Where's she now?" Truth questioned.

"She ran away again."

Spellweaver exchanged glances with Truth, who apparently had the same expression as her. They had a worried expression, they even thought that at one point, she would reunite with them again, but no, she just had to flee again. Flee to who knows what location because of a damned notebook.

"Let's just go back to the headquarters." Logic started to take the opposite direction of where Perfection went, looking down on the grass again.

"And just like that, you're giving up because we can't catch up to her?" Spellweaver was bewildered with what she heard. She knew Logic well and this person right here isn't the same as the one she truly knows. He would be the one to officiate that they continue but now, he's just turning away from all of it?

"I am not giving up." He declared though, he still walked towards the direction of the headquarters.

"Then what the hell are you doing?! You're technically not following her trail!" She reprimanded, blocking his way. "You are technically giving up!"

The words stung him just as much the contact of his palm to Spellweaver's left cheek. Her eyes closed, taking in all the pain from that slap. She felt her cheek ache but she made no move to hover to the side so Logic can continue walking. Her eyes stated to water up but her expression remained the same; determination was written all over it.

"You know what Truth?" She turned to him with a smile, even in pain, she could still let out that smile. "Let's go."

By the time she passed by Logic's side, a tear fell but she made no move to wipe it off; she let it continue flowing down her still, reddened cheek. "This is, goodbye, I presume?"

---

The pair continued followed the route Perfection walked on. Spellweaver fell behind, slowly walking and silent. She didn't expect this, of all people, why Logic? He was the one who actually initiated they go look for her but now, what happened? Spellweaver couldn't think well, the events from earlier were wearing her out.

She suddenly bumped her head into something hard. At first, she thought it to be a tree yet it wasn't. It was Truth's chest, he apparently faced her, noticing how glum she looked. She looked up, meeting his grayish-black eyes staring down upon her own emerald ones. His eyes now displayed sadness, an effect of Spellweaver's ongoing gloominess. He enveloped his arms around her figure, taking her in, tears finally shedding from all the emotions she was feeling. She cried hard on his chest, even hitting him with her fists in the process. Her emotions were a mix of animosity and anguish.
