Kenzs POV

            “I can’t believe that just happened.” Was the only thing I could say as I walked back to my house. “I’m dating Kalin…. How did that happen?” I was so happy but so upset with myself I didn’t know what to think. “I should be happy… Why am I not happy?” I don’t understand. I really like this kid… I actually love this kid. So why am I not ecstatic? Why do I feel upset? I walked into my house confused. I guess I looked sad because my mom stopped me as I was walking upstairs. “Honey, are you okay?” Yea, I’m fine mom.” “You don’t look fine sweetie, come talk to me.” “Mom, I honestly don’t feel like talking, I really need to talk to Shannon.” “Alright sweetie, if you need anything let me know. I love you.” “I love you too mom.” I said as I was opening my door. “I need to call Shannon.” I said to myself. As soon as I got into my room I grabbed my phone and dialed Shannon’s number. “Please Shan, pick up, please pick up.”  “Hey Kenz, what’s up?” She said. “OH MY GOD SHAN, YOU AREN’T GONNA BELIEVE THIS! KALIN KISSED ME AND NOW WERE DATING!” WHAT THE FUCK KENZ?!?! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING! YOU NEED TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS BOY! NOT DATE HIM!” She said back to me. “I know Shan, but I really like this kid, I think this one is gonna last.” “I honestly love this kid, I’m so happy but I’m so upset. I feel like I let you down.” “Kenz, honey, don’t EVER feel like you let me down. I love you so much Kenz. I may get pissed at you but that doesn’t mean you let me down. “Aww, Shan I miss you so much. Can you please come back to Cali? I need you here to be my words of wisdom. As you can see, I’m not doing very well without you right now.” I started laughing. “Yea Kenz, I see that. But it will be okay. I have to go. I will call you tomorrow, Bye Kenz. Love you.” “Bye Shan, I love you too.” We both hung up and I flopped onto my bed.

            I don’t know what to do about this. I love this kid but I feel like this is such a bad decision. I don’t know what to do. I decided to go talk to my mom and get her opinion on it. I walked downstairs and saw Kalin sitting on my couch talking with my mom. I was so mortified I tried to quietly walk back upstairs but my mom saw me. “Honey, come down here.” “Fuck”. I said quietly to myself. “Hey Kalin, What’s up?” I sat next to him and he put his arm around me. “I didn’t know what to say so I just stared at my mom. “You two look awfully comfortable”. She said. Before I could say anything, I heard Kalin say, “You haven’t told her yet?” ”What haven’t you told me sweetheart?” “Well Mom, were together.” I said as I leaned in and kissed him on the cheek.” His eyes lit up and I could tell he was happy to be with me. Next thing I heard was my mom yelling for Myles. “Myles, Honey get down here!” “What’s going on Mom?” He said while walking down the stairs.” He saw me and Kalin and started laughing. “You’re joking right?” I heard him say. “What the hell is that supposed to mean?” I replied back to him while grabbing Kalin’s hand. “Well, it’ll be weird.” He responded back. Before I could say anything Kalin said. “It won’t be though dude. Just because you guys are siblings doesn’t mean that’s gonna change our friendship.” Myles just smiled at him and said “Alright dude. But if anything changes I’m kicking your ass.” Kalin got up and they “dabbed it up”. Kalin sat back down with me and I put my legs over his. I smiled and gave him a quick kiss. You could hear Myles in the background pretend puking. I threw a quick glare at him and went back to Kalin. I couldn’t help but feel safe with Kalin. This is the happiest I’ve been since I broke up with dickface. I almost thought it was too good to be true. Like I’ll wake up and all of this will be a dream.  I asked Kalin If he wanted to go hang out in my room. His eyes lit up and he said yes. I swung my legs off of his, took his hand and we went upstairs.

            When we got upstairs I closed the door and sat on my bed. He stood at the door and I could tell he was uncomfortable. I patted the end of my bed and he slowly sat down. I swung my legs over his and kissed his cheek. I could feel him smiling.

      I got up so I could take a shower. I went into the bathroom and started undressing.   I was basically naked when I felt someone wrap their arms around me. I turned around and saw Kalin in front of me. “What the hell are you doing Kalin?” I asked while trying to cover myself up. He was smiling at me. Next thing I know he had his shirt off. He started kissing me. I was so confused but I didn’t want him to stop. I wrapped my arms around him and we fell to the ground. I could hear him kick the door closed. I finally stopped and told him I needed to get into the shower. He got off of me and I went to turn on the water. When I turned around all he had on was his boxers. They had little smiley faces on them. They were so cute. He was smiling at me. I ran and jumped into his arms. Our chests were pressed together. He grabbed me tighter and we went back into my room. He threw me on the bed and we started going at it.

      Until, I heard a knock at the door. “Honey, what’s going on in there. I keep hearing a crash sound.” I was mortified. “Just a minute mom.” I said as I jumped up and threw on some clothes. I pushed Kalin into the bathroom and mouthed get dressed to him. I opened the door. “What’s going on in here sweetie? I keep hearing a crash sound.” “It’s fine mom. I just tripped.” “Alright honey, where’s Kalin?” “He’s in the bathroom.” I heard the sink running and I felt relieved. He came out and said “ Sorry sweetie, some of your makeup dropped onto the floor.” I smiled and replied back that it was fine. My mom smiled at us and left. I closed the door and sighed. “That was close.” Kalin said to me. “I know, from now on if we want to do anything we go to your house.” “Deal” He replied back.  I jumped into his arms and kissed him.
