I couldn't see her. I couldn't hear her. But I could feel her. Where was she? I don't know, but I knew she was here.
I looked down at the go board. I had a hard time focusing. I wanted to scream and run, but it was like this was all I could do. I felt tied yet free.
He moved his piece.
I sighed and stared at the possibilities of what I could do.
He let out a small laugh. "Stiles, why do you think of your friends when they will never come?"
I continued staring at the board, trying to think about the question, but I couldn't. Like I said before,it was like all I wanted to do was play Go. "I don't know what you mean." I moved my piece.
He moved his piece. "You should focus on the game. You do not make your turns quickly or efficiently."
I sighed again, realizing he was right. But then everything stopped. Everything was silent with a soft ringing in my ears. I heard the loud echoing howl of Scott. I felt every part of my body come to life, like I was being freed.
I looked at Scott, Lydia, and... Bree. I kicked the board away and ran to them. Bree embraced me tightly. I stroked her hair like it was the first time. I felt her warm tears fall on my shoulder. I began tearing up as I held her tightly. I stroked her back.
"I thought--"
"I know." I swallowed. "I missed you."
"I missed you too, Stiles."
I stepped back and cupped her face, kissing her. And everything became white and they faded away. I felt the nokitsune leave. And I felt it all rush out of me.
I was coming home...
