Once upon a time there was a girl who couldn't feel Love.

How did she know, you ask?

Because everyone had always told her so.

"You're different from the other girls" her mother said.

"How so?"

"Where they have hearts you have a lump of ice instead"

"But you still love me right?"

Her mother would sigh and pat her head,
"I've tried my dear, but what's the point when you can't love me back?"

The girl would nod and say she understood, but this response became harder and harder to give,

As every time she'd ask if she was loved, all she'd receive was a sad smile and an echoing "I've tried, but what's the point?"

One day she met a boy, with sunshine in his heart.

He made her laugh, something which she'd never tried before.

The two became close friends.

From each other they never wandered far.

One day she asked, "How is your heart so warm, and mine so cold?"

The boy turned to her confused.

"Me? My heart is cold as ice, while yours is warm as sun."

The girl shook her head, "That can't be true I see its glow, your heart is bright and good. What makes you think it's cold?"

He shrugged, "Everyone always told me so."

Her eyes widened "Same with mine"

Slowly, she took his hand

"But you still love me, right?"

The boy smiled, "Always."
