Chapter 25: Shattered Glass and Blood
Lynsey’s POV:
I woke up at 9:47 not even realizing I had fallen asleep. Shawn should be home soon, prepared for a smackdown. I still can’t believe that he’s back doing that again, I mean what else would he be doing at Lillie’s? I’m going to kill him.

The door crept open a while later, making my attention turn towards it. It had to be Shawn. I folded my arms over my chest as I gave the door a stare down that if it was a living thing, well it wouldn’t be anymore. Shawn peeked his head through the door before opening it completely and walking in. I gave him my best death glare, trying to make him as uncomfortable as possible. He closed the door behind himself and just stood still in front of it, looking anywhere except at me.
After a couple of minutes Shawn started to walk forwards towards the hallway to the bedrooms.
“Where the hell do you think you’re going?” I questioned, still staring at the door he was once standing in front of.
He stopped in his tracks and turned towards me, “Well you aren’t saying anything, so I’m leaving.” He was already getting worked up and I hadn’t even gotten started.
“You don’t honestly think you’re getting off that easy do you?” I turned towards him, stonefaced. He didn’t say anything.
“Do you?” I repeated.
“I’m older than you Lynsey. You can’t tell me what to do and what not to do.” he said quietly.
I glared at him, clenching my jaw. Did he honestly just say that to me?
“It’s true.” he said, trying to regain his composure, then turned to walk away again.
“Shawn.” I said confidently, he just kept walking, “Shawn!” I screamed.
“I don’t want to fucking hear it Lynsey.” he said still walking.
“That’s it.” I said softly, but loud enough for him to hear me.
He stopped and turned, “What are you going to do?” he crossed his arms, feeling as though he had ‘won’. Oh… but trust me, he hadn’t.
I bit the inside of my cheeks, I can’t believe I’m actually about to do this. I leant forward and shoved the coffee table to my left. Shawn’s eyes swiveled to the table and his jaw dropped at my abrupt outburst. He looked back at me, not being able to form words as I pushed myself off of the couch and planted my feet on the ground, trying to balance myself. Okay. This doesn’t hurt so bad.
“Lynsey…”
“Shut-up!” I screamed, taking an insanely small step towards him, “I don’t want to hear it.” putting an emphasis on the ‘I’ and using his own words against him.
I heard his swallow hard as I grabbed the glass cup off of the side table to my right, drinking the last two gulps of water.
“Lynsey, you aren’t supposed to…”
Tired of his idiocy, I interrupted him getting louder as the words slipped from my mouth, “I. Said. Shut. Up!” I threw the glass to the wall at the left, getting him to finally shut his stupid mouth and just stare at the shattered glass that burst against the wall loudly and was now lying all over the floor. He looked back at my anger-filled eye shocked at my actions.
I took another step forward (okay so they weren’t really steps I honestly have no clue what to call the limp-drag whatever I was doing), trying to not let any tears slip from my eyes. I would not be weak. No.
