Lost Friendship

I felt cold and lonely. I felt like there was no way out, I felt like someone was blocking of my air, slowly. I felt like I was dying, slowly but surely. I wiped away the last of my tears and rubbed my eyes until they felt raw. I stood up, and turned around, only to the shock of finding two policemen standing talking. Oh no! They're back, I groaned in my head. I knew they were harmless, but I couldn't help think that everything was just linking to something bad. That everything linked with one another, I was being led in a direction I didn't want to follow. I just wanted to go home, to my adoptive mother, away from all these memories; But inside, I knew I can't.

"Any news on the girls?" Asked one policeman, the one who was sitting on the computer before. He was flipping through some papers, he halved them and handed half to the other policeman. Who nodded as a thanks. "And this is the report so far..."

"Thank you..." He accepted the papers and cradled them in his arms. "Umm... I've researched into the girls and there is a Serena in this town. Only one, i've looked into her files and i've got her contact details so I will contact her soon when I've got Rita's... It's just..." He paused for thought.

"Is something wrong?" Asked the other policeman.

"Well, yes... There is no Rita in this town. The last recorded Rita died 5 years ago, and this chat is recent, the day before the first murder in fact..."

"Well, contact this Serena girl, and ask her questions... Is she young?"

"She is 17"

"Contact her, she may have answe-"

Before he could finish, the door slammed open and a young but recognisable girl stood there with a large grin plastered on her face. Violet. Except her eyes were a different colour and she looked scarily menacing. Something was wrong.

"What are you doing in here?!" One of the policemen snapped, "You know your not allowed in he-"

"Don't hurt Serena" She snapped back. "She didn't do anything" She said more politely this time. The policemen exchanged looks. One of them stepped forward.

"Little girl... you really shouldn't be in here. You should come with m-"

"I did this for her... But you wouldn't understand..." She dropped her gaze to the floor with an upset expression on her face. Yet she looked dangerous. I could tell the policemen thought this too, as the policeman took another step towards her with caution.

Then she jumped, into the policeman. She knocked him backwards into the other policeman, and they both screamed. Not a scream like you would normally do if someone knocked you back by surprise. They let out an earsplitting, blood curtling scream as if their souls had literally been ripped out of their bodies. Then they lay limp, on the floor, sending a scatter of papers on the floor. The girl stood there staring into my eyes, knowing my fear, and her smile faultered.

"I wish you would understand..." She whispered painfully, "You will." She smiled weakly before disappearing again. I was standing there awkwardly, staring fearfully at a piece of paper she left behind. Not another puzzle, oh god please no. I moved swiftly over to the paper and picked it up, another newspaper? It read:

Two policemen have recently died trying to solve 5 murder mystery

Two policemen have been found dead whilst on the job today. They were found mysteriously dead in their offices whilst researching the 5 mysterious deaths this week. They were said by other policemen who work there locally that they were 'completely normal' and they were acting like their normal selfs just minutes before they were found. They were found in exactly the same state as the mysterious deaths they were researching. Scientists are still struggling to find a cause for the young deaths, and these new deaths have confused the scientists further as these policemen didn't know who the youngsters were, or even met them. Policemen are too concerned to look into these deaths any further, but scientists are still trying to find a cause. People are starting to look towards supernatural causes.
