Every single student in school wanted to join the 'popular crew' or at least that's what I called it. The criteria for joining the club? Having the looks, latest trends, knowing every gossip there is to know and obviously a huge load of money because being popular does not come cheap.
Why was everyone so obsessed with joining the crew, one simple reason: the advantages and perks they would have and be entitled to. Who in their right mind wouldn't want to have such a fabulous life free of all the downside of being an outcast outside of the popular crew's circle.
The three circles in school were: the popular crew, the mutual and the outcast. The popular crew ran the social scene while the mutual were just minding their own business and lastly the outcast?
They just kept to themselves not bothering about the rejection from most of the popular crew members. I on the other hand didn't give a damn about the circles of school because it wasn't as big of a deal as everyone made it out to be.
You may be thinking that I was one of the popular crew members right? Guess again, so now you are jumping to the conclusion based on what I said which would be not giving a damn about the circles and how the popular crew is just a lame fuss that everyone is kicking up which would make me an outcast.
Well I am considered to be in the middle and that puts me in the mutual circle if I even cared about all those social rankings and definitions.
My name is Zoe Neuer, I am 17 years old. I was born and raised in Germany since the day I was born up till the present though my family did live in England, France and Spain for a period of time before moving back to my native homeland.
I have always been home schooled at a very young age but I am not a freak at all as most home schooled children were portrayed or imagined to be since they all turned out to be geniuses and super smart asses. I would consider myself to be fairly average though on the smart side but hey I have a life other than studying.
You may also be thinking that since I was home schooled I didn't understand a single thing about what most of the kids my age were doing and all the social stuff but I had friends and hung out with them often. Those friends weren't home schooled and were just like everyone else going to school and having a social life and etc.
My childhood wasn't like any other kids my age since I was young, my parents always travelled a lot because of their work and would take me along with them wherever they were temporarily assigned to. I have an older brother and our age gap is such a huge one because he is 10 years older than me. I never got to see him a lot because I was always moving around between England, France and Spain with my parents but he stayed with my aunt and uncle in Schalke till the age of 15 then he lived on his own and when he turned 21 he moved to Munich all on his own.
Manuel Neuer that's the name of my brother and for all the soccer fans, you would recognize his name as Bayern Munich's #1 goalkeeper. Welcome to the story of my life.
