I walk down the hallways, going to my last class; English. I can't help but wonder where the Devil is. Today is Wednesday and there have been no signs of him since Monday, maybe he drowned in his own ego or something. Why do I care anyway? I shouldn't, right?

"Hey," Ally greets while I put my book back into my bag, "you seemed really out of it today, whats up?"

I sling my bag over one shoulder and start walking, "sleep deprivation, nothing new really."

"Sure, you seem to be missing a certain someone." She nudges her shoulder against mine and winks.

"Ew! Promise to never wink at me again," I lightly nudge back, "and no, I do not miss anyone."

She motions her hand as if it was talking, "blah blah blah we all know you have a major crush on Dylan, deal with it."

I gape at her statement and before I can even say anything a voice interrupts our conversation. "It's true, we are all aware of that," Marvin says, showing up beside Ally. I can see his lips twitch up, holding back a smile as their shoulders touch for a split second. This boy has a serious crush.

Marvin has been crushing on Ally since forever, however, he has never done anything to actually win her heart. So the cycle between them will be; Ally getting a boyfriend, Marvin getting very melancholy and demands me to listen to his rants, then him proceeding to date a girl in hopes to get over Ally but then he doesn't and then break up with the girl. In some cases where Ally's relationship doesn't go well, Marvin will just be there to be a shoulder to cry on but then Ally won't really think anything of it though.

"Guys for the thousandth time, I don't like Dylan. He's not my type." I say the two of them have a very odd expression on their faces.

"Who's not your type, sunshine?"

Just like how Mr.Bean fell out of the sky, the Devil suddenly appear behind me. He has his usual boyish smirk, but I can't help but notice how his eyes didn't look so bright, the bags under his eyes are darker and the overall look tired and less put together. Instead of his usual black on black attire, he's wearing a worn out baby blue sweater that has a faded Mickey Mouse in front of it.

"Definitely not you, Mickey," I say, looking down at his sweater.

He looks down and pressed his lips together, realizing his faulty job at picking a top. The golden-haired boy looks back up at me and smiles, this time reaching his eyes. "Maybe you can be my Minnie, sweetie."

I roll my eyes, "You're disgusting."

"No, I'm yours," and he winks.

Before I can say anything else, Ally and Marvin are gushing at us besides me. "You guys are definitely going to hook up, I can feel it," Ally says.

Marvin inches closer to 'whisper' in her ear, but he did it very loudly so everyone can hear, "Maybe they have."

Ally giggles and nods, "True, from the amount of time they spend together, it must already be a routine."

My mouth is wide in shock and my cheeks heat up in embarrassment. "No! You guys are disgusting."

The Devil put his arms around me, I can't help but feel my skin tingle from the sudden contact. "No, they're not, they're true."

I push his arm away, "Touch me again, I will hit you."

"Woa, the little one is aggressive." He says with a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"She really is, when we were seven she hit me with a stick and my arm started bleeding." Marvin shakes his head at me, " I cried all night."

"Shut up, you're just overly sensitive," I playfully hit his arm.

"Was."

Ally rolls her eyes, "still is."

Marvin looks at her and chuckles, he can never be mean to Ally. Sometimes I feel really bad that Ally is so oblivious that Marvin is head over heels for her, but then again he never has the guts to make a move either.

Marvin snaps away from la la land and looks at the Devil, "By the way, where have you been, bro? Haven't seen you in a while."

The Devil bites his lip and runs a hand through his hair, "Had some stuff to sort out at home, nothing much."

Marvin nods, "Great to have you back, man. Coach made us run extra laps yesterday at practice, I think he's upset because his girlfriend broke up with him."

"Sometimes I forget that you're on the team," I say to the Devil. I really do tend to forget because he rarely uses his varsity jacket or talks about his team. I've never seen him play, either, since Ally and I aren't the biggest fan of a crowd of sweaty high schoolers shouting.

"Why so? Does my overly attractive face overpower my athletic body?" He raises his brow, "You should go to the game next week on Wednesday."

"No thank you, I'll pass."

Right when I said that, Ally said something completely different, "Yes! Can we? Please, Mads, I really wanna see Jake play."

I can't help but see the shift in emotions in Marvin's eyes, "I have to go, guys, see ya."

Before I can answer Ally, she's also ready to go. "Gotta run to the other building, I have biology now."

Ally is super smart and on top of most of her classes, her parents want her to be a doctor when she grows up but I doubt it's what she wants.

"Let's go to English, sunshine. Wanna hold my hand?"

"I'd rather not."

As we are walking towards class, I can't help but wonder why the Devil is suddenly spending time around me lately, why the sudden interest? And what was the thing he needed to sort out at home? Is it his mom?

The clacking of heels against the floor woke me up from my thoughts. I look beside me, Cindy Davis is beside the devil, her hand on his shoulder. With long black hair, icy blue eyes, a tight top, and a mini skirt that shows off her long toned legs, it is no doubt that she is really attractive.

"Hey, Dylan. Why didn't you call me last night? I missed you." She pouts flirtatiously, the Devil smiles at her sweetly. Even from this distance, I can smell the sweet scent of her perfume.

Before I can hear his response, the bell rings and I walk to class, leaving him with Cindy. There is this twist in my stomach as I walk down the busy hallway and I can't help but wonder, were they together yesterday?
