Talent was hard to come by. Extremely hard. And though Mara still wasn't accepted back into Lemonade Mouth, Mara was still excited. The annual talent show at Riverdale was always exciting to Mara, and she couldn't help herself from skipping with joy.

Anyone and everyone who shows their talent off was brave and just friend-worthy to Mara. To be so proud of something that you would show to the world with no regrets — that's just amazing.

And although Mara was excited, she was unable to actually enjoy the excitement. Jughead and Betty Cooper had found some information regarding Jason, and Mara wasn't shocked.

Jason Blossom had been engaged to Polly Cooper.

Mara knew because she remembered Jason telling her. He had made her promise not to tell anyone, especially not Cheryl or the Blossoms.

She had honored her promise until Jughead had asked her to meet him in the room he and Betty used to print off their news.

That's when all information had been let loose.

Mara was told about the gunshot that the boy scouts had shot, and Mara gave the pair all the details she could remember from that night she spent with Jason long ago.

How anxious Jason had sounded, how he had glanced around his surroundings every other second as if he were expecting something to come after him.

Betty stayed silent through out the conversation, and Mara was curious as to why she was. Betty was usually quick to point out her own opinion.

The three agreed to meet up again if they end up finding anything else.

Open auditions for the Annual Variety Show was being judged by Kevin Keller, Betty Coopers' once best friend. It seemed he had gotten replaced by Veronica, and Mara knew how that felt.

Sitting in the audience was never as fun as performing, but Mara was no longer a part of Lemonade Mouth, and though it sucked, she didn't dwell on it. She knew Betty and Jughead were focused on their investigation, and they were going to let her in on it as soon as they had more information.

Besides, Mara had her own things to worry about at the moment.

Earlier that week, she found Reggie practically crying because he wasn't the first choice as Football Captain. He explained how Archie had also wanted the spot but ultimately declined to pursue his music - which meant Reggie ended up with the title. Mara completely understood - he wasn't first choice. It always hurt when you weren't someones first choice.
