I'm back!...and late. Sorry for that folks! But ya know, life's been in the way for my writing and I have to move that stuff away before writing. Sooooo *Kicks ma Friend Life out of my house*

Life: What the what Writer?! *Rubbing her tushie (;'༎ຶw༎ຶ')*

Writer: I told you NOT to eat Nutella in front of my computer, Life!

However, now that that's solved, let's get back from the cringiest cringey chapter in the history of this story, shall we? We shall!

Ok, I'll stop now.

---------------------------------------------------------

Sonic's POV

I follow Amy's footsteps crunching on the dry branches on the ground as quietly as possible. I don't get a sight from her at first thanks to the tight growing vegetation, but eventually I see something pink getting reflected by the moonlight in the distance, fairly easy to spot in this shadowy and disorienting environment.

I stop for a moment, thinking through what I'm going to do next. Though I doubt that the lass could possibly spot me, with my quills blending in pretty well with the shadows, I don't doubt that a single light beam from the moon could reveal my position to her, and she did try to escape from our camp alone for a reason. So I try to stay as far away from that pink braid as possible.

I follow Amy out to an open area with a big cave on my right side, just at the end of a mountain. I hide behind a boulder with moss on, and start to listen as the sound of her steps stop in the middle of the oval looking area.

-Great. Let's see, soldier one, two and three, En Guarde.- She say while I hear the so well known sound of the blade of an iron sword getting free from the scabbard that holds it in place beside the wielder's hip. Amy takes a perfect standing position, ready for either a fight or to jump away. She moves smoothly forward and backwards a few times, making sure her position is stable before doing some very skilled blows to the trunks of soldier 2 and 3, still at the same time as sipping away from a hit manufactured by soldier 1. She moves efficiently, with a grace and smoothness like a feather in the wind. Just like her...

FLASHBACK!!! (cuz it's been a while)

*cling*, the sound of two steel swords meeting in a respectful fight between two friends. It's the first time I was alone with Sally Alicia Acorn, without having Scourge by our side. He used to be my closest friend, nothing could ever make us turn on each other. Not even when we found out that we both liked the same girl. But that didn't mean that none of us both did our best to get her attention.

-You just made a risky step there, Sonic. Are you getting tired already?- That's an understatement. We were fencing for at least 3 hours straight! And this girl never seemed to get enough of it. On the contrary, the longer she fenced, the stronger she became. And more overconfident, but it gave her persona an irresistible charm. Besides, she was the Fencing Academy Principal's daughter, that made her very hard to get.

-Oh don't be so sure about that.- I sidestepped her, expecting her to follow my moves, but just as I was to get her from left instead of right, she stopped me in the blink of an eye, like always. Somehow she always manages to find a way to stop me, and still I get surprised each time.

-If that's all you got for today, than I guess we should stop for tonight.- I asked her for private training, just the two of us, not only because she was the best fencer I knew, but it gave me the chance to tell her what I thought of her. Sally left towards the changing rooms, where she stored her sword in a hidden plank. "Having a sword hidden here and there could save your life one day" she always explained when I asked her about her weird behavior.
